Honeysuckle doesn't stay on me, but wet garden stays all day. I don't have thunderstorm yet (had it in a candle, lovely!!) so I really hope it works. I say try them, there are scents for everyone by demeter!

olfactory girl,
Can you describe the rain and fireplace? I haven't tried these yet. Is rain a clean sweet scent or just an "ocean" type? And how about fireplace? Is it a woody spice, woody oriental?

Noelle, rain is marine/aquatic. It smells exactly like when you walk outside your door and it's raining out. The smell of the soil, trees, sidewalk... when it's wet.

Fireplace smells like fresh sweet smelling firewood being burned in a woodchip pit. If that makes sense. Sweet woods and smoke is the best way to put that one. Almost like bonfire (which is another demeter scent) only it doesn't have as much of the outside earthy smell. Hope that helps!

I was on makeupalley.com reading some reviews on Demeter fragrances today and there's one called Holy Water. I wonder what that one smells like. Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks olfactorygirl. Flower
I think the rain sounds a little better to me than the fireplace and I will probably want to sample that.
Jade, I have tried the Holy Water. I resold it because it just didn't have any scent to me after 10 seconds! It doesn't have the amber/myrhh(SP?) strong scent of a church, but actually does smell like the holy water that you put on in church. (If you have done that). I am catholic, so I KNOW my holy water. Noelle, what did the funeral home one smell like? Was it like flowers? I saw that on the Demeter list of scents on a website last night and was wondering what it was like. I just quit my job at a funeral home last year, so I know exactly how one smells, LOL!

I love when my husband brings me fresh flowers, but I always cringe a bit if it's roses, because it always reminds me of work.

Tutti,

Demeter Funeral Home smells JUST LIKE ONE. It's the mixture of flowers I can't describe. I admire you for having worked in one previously. Eeker
Of course unfortunately I have had to go to them, but honestly, I have nightmares for days. (Or should I say nights.) Errr

Honestly, I don't get some of Demeter's scents. Who would want to have a perfume called Funeral Home? And I thought Dirt was bad enough as it is.

They have some really crazy scents. I like the Demeter bottles, I think if all the scents lasted longer, I'd collect them.

The Body Shop has a home fragrance oil called Tobacco Flower and it actually smells kind of nice, smells nothing like tobacco. Maybe the Fresh fragrance smells like that?

I've been thinking about buying the Thunderstorm candle. I love that smell! I can't wait for May-- I LOVE thunderstorms!

I wonder what Firefly smells like. Ummm, it's a bug. Maybe it's an outdoors-y evening scent?
