Janelle, that is really strange, I had the that happen to me too. I tried Island MK Fiji first and after that I sprayed some Island MK and had a hard time smelling it until a few minutes passed. They are very similar.

It does seem strange they would make one so similar, the notes are almost identical. It sounds really nice though, especially with the creamy touch on this new one.

I really like the new Island MK Fiji. I am so tempted to buy it! When am I notSmiler
I like the fact that it's a bit creamier, but it has a lot of floral notes as well. I think it's a great combination. I'll have to find out first what it smells like on me.

You're welcome Tutti. I just sniffed IMKF again and I am starting to think that it smells a little bit like Ralph Lauren Hot, but a little more floral. I like it a lot!! I wish it came in a 1 oz bottle thoughSmiler
Just checked Sephora and it's already temporarily out of stock. I am lucky! Big Grin

It's in stock again. Uh oh! Red Face
I do hope it'll come out in a smaller sized bottle, 3.4 oz is just too much for me. I don't like big bottles anyway. The only fragrances I have in that size I believe are Pink Sugar and Van Cleef & Arpels Gem.

Lol Tutti. If I were smart I'd have to take quite a few of those, but then I'd probably overdose on them which is no good either Rotflol

Fryl,

You can take 'half' a Xanax to chill or a low dose of Prozac for 'compulsive shopping'.
Wink

Van Cleef makes some very classy scents.
Love

Beautiful perfumes dot com has "Birmane" which is fashioned after a Burmese Ruby, for cheap. I think it smells very nice.

However, I don't know if you'd like it. You can 'google' it for a fragrance description.

As with Bvlgari, I've seen Birmane at Marshall's. Definitely not popular with the 'flip flop and one bra strap hanging out crowd.'

I have never tried Birmane. Gem is actually the only Van Cleef & Arpels scent that I like, but it's so expensive, even for meSmiler But I have a 3.4 oz bottle, so I am good for awhile.

Oooooooooh, I love the description of this!! The bottle is pretty, too. The notes in it sound perfect for me.
I wonder if any of the stores in my area will carry it ... there's not a lot of selection here. Roll Eyes
I can't wait to smell this. I want it already! Crazy

Orange and citrusy scents seem to be the hype this year for fragrances. The bottle is gorgeous but too bad i'm not an orange fan.

The newest fragrance is Island Capri. I tried checking for it on the Sephora & Nordstrom websites, but it's not available yet. However, I think it'll start to show up in those places soon since I've seen a photo of it in one of the Dec. fashion magazines. It didn't catch my attn. until I read the name though b/c the bottle looks similar to the original Island fragrance.

According to the Now Smell This blog, the newest MK fragrance will be Island Bermuda. I like the pink bottle, so I think I'm going to have to give this a sniff. winking
