Has anyone tried this scent?

Michael Kors - Island

I tried a sample out of one of my magazines, and instantly fell in love with it. It's such a nice summer or spring fragrance. It's on the expensive side, so until I have some extra money to buy some I went to eBay yesterday and bought 5 spray samples. That should last me for a while.

Here's a description:

The Ultimate Getaway. The New Fragrance for Women.

A chic and relaxed attitude to last all year long. A sparkling, lush, and radiant fragrance of humid florals and tropical waters.

Notes:
Kauai Waterfalls, Oxygenated Water, Chinese Kiwi, Hydroponic Honeysuckle, Parrot Tulip, Champaca Flowers, Ginger Lilies, Bulgarian Rose, Stephanotis, White Bark Accord, Galapagos Driftwood.

Style:
Sparkling. Lush. Radiant.

I definitely like the description of it so far. But I already own a lot of perfumes already. I'll consider putting this on my wishlist, but if I were to get it, it'd probably be many months from now.

I'm glad you posted about this scent Tuttidolcijunkie, i've seen it before when I go shopping but i have never paid any attention to it. Now i'm curious to try it. Also, I really like the bottle, it's so simple yet it's pretty.

Hope it's better than the original Michael Kors. Which reeked of tuberose and gardenia.
Givency makes Kors stuff and they have a rap for making overwhelming, clear out an elevator in 5 seconds, scents. Sick

I smelled the Island perfume today. It was OK, but it really doesn't fit in w/ all my other fragrances. I think I'll have to pass on it for at least now.

I tried this scent today. It smells kind a weird, but I liked it. I was tempted to buy it, but I didn't. It doesn't last very long. The bottle is gorgeous of course. I have been on a shopping spree lately. I'll post it in the "Recent Purchases" thread later.

Shopping sprees are good! Big Grin

I have been a bit disappointed with its staying power too, but I do really like the scent. Glad you liked it too! Smiler

I really would have bought it on the spot if it lasted longer. It literally "dissapeared" after a few minutes. Are you planning on buying a bottle of MK Island, Tutti? The bottle is glorious!!

I probably won't now unless I find a good deal on it through eBay, or I may just keep using the carded sample sprays I bought on eBay. I have so many perfumes that it's ridiculous and I really don't "need" to buy any for a while. Of course, that never stops addicts like us, does it? Big Grin

P.S. You have an Island sample spray coming in the mail, I sent it yesterday!

Smiler

There's a new Michael Kors fragrance
Island Michael Kors Fiji. I am sure this smells as interesting as the old one. It seems to have a lot of notes in common.

Introducing Island Michael Kors Fiji. A new destination in fragrance.
Island Michael Kors Fiji is the ultimate tropical destination. This full-blossom floral is resplendent with sensuality amidst a sea of pristine Polynesian waters.

Notes:
Kauai Waterfalls Accord, Oxygenated Water Accord, Cactus Par, Mango Mist, Chines Kiwi, Hydroponic Honeysuckle, Parrot Tulip, Tiare Flower, Jasmin Sambac, Ginger Lilies, Bulgarian Rose, Plumeria, Stephanotis, Galapagos Driftwood, Rice Fields Accord, Birch Wood, White Bark Accord.
Style:
Vibrant. Sensual. Voluptuous.

What a combination!
Eeker
I know the original Michael Kors is heavy on the gardenia or tuberose like Fracas. Someone spilled a bottle in my Jeep and I can still smell it.

Bora Bora is supposed to be good and it's on sale at Marshall's but I am kind of scared of Claiborne stuff except for the original Curve.

I got to try this a minute ago, got a sample in the mail from Sephora. Island Michael Kors Fiji smells almost exactly like Island Michael Kors, but it's a little creamier? If that makes sense. I am very bad at describing especially in another languageSmiler

I smelled this yesterday, and I really liked Island, but I couldn't smell Fiji at all!! Maybe my nose had scent fatigue or something. But I enjoyed Island. I love Michael Kors in general ... especially his shoes!! Love

Ciao!
