HotFF, unwrap the tart, put it in the receptacle of your tart burner, light a tealight, et voila.
The tart will start melting and release its fragrance.

Also, here's a little tip I once got from Tutti.
To get the (burned out hardened) tart out, put the whole tart burner in the freezer for a couple of minutes (it even works within a few seconds, I've tried it because that's how impatient I amBig Grin).
The tart will pop out easily.

That's good advice about the freezer. It's a mess to do it any other way although some will pop out if you stick something in the center of it and twist. Whatever you do, wait until it cools before trying to dispose of your tart. It will be much less mess!

You can also buy electric warmers if you prefer. I've seen them at Walmart under $10.

Jenn, I've never tried the electric ones. I almost bought one at Walmart but changed my mind. I'm quite happy using the tealights because I just let it burn until it's done. I'd probably forget all about the electric one! Smiler

I can't pick just one! I'd have to say my favorites right now are:

Lilac
Lavender Kisses
Strawberry Kisses
Pink Sugar
Sweet Craving
Bamboo Sugar Cane

I make them myself mostly although I do have some I bought from Yankee Candle at the last sale. Smiler

This may sound like a stupid question, but I figured it's better for me to ask and get a 2nd opinion.

I want to get into burning tarts & would rather get one of those electric candle warmers that cost $6 at Bed Bath & Beyond rather than the ceramic electric tart warmers. The ceramic ones would be a little bit too bulky for me to store. Anyway, I've seen online that these types of candle warmers have tart adapters. But I want to know if it would just be fine if I put the tart in a small ramekin (like one you would get in the kitchenware dept.) & put it on the candle plate.

What's been people's experiences w/ burning tarts on electric candle burners?

Megan, I know someone who burns tarts in the method you're asking about (in a ramequin on the candle plate of the electric candle warmer).
I think it should be alright and safe. Smiler
