I saw 4 of these at a YC store yesterday. Megan will be pleased to know that one of the scents is Violet! Flower

These are the ones I saw:

Violet - I'm not a connoisseur of violet scents, but this was pleasant. It was very light, but my nose may have been tired from all of the other (stong!!!) scents...

Jasmine - I LOVED this one!! I am definitely getting one. There is a very large jasmine vine near my apartment that flowers heavily in the spring and early summer, and this candle smelled just like it. Love

Velvet Petals - ick. Strong, perfumely, heavy floral. Not my thing. Sick

Black Cherry - also not for me ... extremely sweet and strong ... smelled like cherry flavored cough syrup to me. Sick

Ciao!
Janelle

I stopped by Yankee and picked up a peanut butter cookie candle. They had some titled ENCORE and on the candle it says original since 1969. They had a lot more scents. Are these a LE re-release from the original scents when Yankee just started. I want to go back this week and smell some other scents. They were only $10 each.

Janelle, I've heard about the Sweet Violet scent. Unfortunately for me, I'm not really a fan of YC that much anymore.

But for those of you who are still YC fans & might want to get some stuff in the new scents, I'd advise you to check out a certain fraffle. winking I believe there's a $5 merchandise credit up for grabs.

Peanut Butter Cookie was a scent offered a few years ago. The line had Carrot Cake and Pancakes also.

I think "original since 1969" refers to when the company started here in Massachusetts.

I smelled the Black Cherry scent today. It's not as good as I thought it would be so I passed.
I liked the Sweet Violet, but as Janelle said it is very light. There are 6 scents in all. The other two are Water Garden and Berry Jam.

I also saw the scents in the Encore Collection.
I have a really bad memory, so please forgive me if the names of the scents are wrong:
Peanut Butter Cookie
Rosewalk of Cliff (or perhaps Rosecliff of Walk?)Bonk
Patchouli & Clove
Maple Walnut (got 1)
Banana Cream Pie (Banana Woohoo got 4)
Apricot Preserves
Raspberry Cream
Spiced Pear
There were a couple more, I think.Smiler

Edited to add a picture of my haul:

I agree on the Banana Cream Pie candle, it is really good Banana Yummy Out of the 3 I bought (peanut butter and maple walnut) that is my favorite by far.

My only complaint is at my store they are $10.00 each, which isnt a huge deal I just wonder why different stores are priced differently. Plus I have a coupon for $10.00 off of $25.00 and the SA told me they dont accept coupons during their sale, which I thought was unusual idunno

I didn't see the Peanut Butter Cookie until I had checked out, otherwise I would have picked up a couple of those as well. I'll probably go back for them this weekend. I am sure that my husband will love the PBC candle!Yes
It could have been a mistake at my store because $7 for a jar that size seems too good to be true. There was a sign that said $7 though, and it rung up for that price too.

Also, now that I think about it, the candle I got at Marshalls was called Banana Pudding. And it was from their Home Collection(?)line, but it smells exactly the same.Smiler

Yankee Candle has new candles out. They are called Beanswax, they are 100% soy candles. I think the packaging is really cute. I smelled them all today. My favorite is Lime after Lime, I was going to pick this one up but I forgot my coupon at home. Bonk So I will have to stop back and get this one.
