I was looking @ the Yankee Candle website. On the entrance page it has a poll where you can vote for what discontinued scents you want brought back. My guess is that Yankee Candle will actually pay attn. to these votes. The last time I checked, the poll results were as follows:

Coconut Bay-13%
Tulips-9%
Vineyard-8%
Seaside Holiday-7%
Key Lime Pie-6%
Baby Powder-6%

I think I ended up voting for Tulips b/c I have no idea what tulips smell like & want to find out. Otherwise, I thought it was funny that Key Lime Pie was included on the list. My store still has it available in votives & tealights.

I voted for Seaside Holiday, but it was a toss up between that and Golden Spiced Pear.

One of the Hallmark stores I go to still has Tulip tarts, and around Christmas I saw Tulip items at Bed Bath & Beyond.

I voted for Coconut Bay.

I was just thinking when I read the new scents. The coffee scent, couldn't a person just make a pot of coffee if they wanna smell coffee? I'm not a coffee drinker but dh is & I can smell it when he puts the grounds in before he even starts the pot & when he does the whole house smells like a Starbucks. Just a random observation.

I was just reading some reviews of Yankee scents at MUA, and came across one that sounds great... if only it weren't discontinued.

Pineapple Paradise

It's supposed to be a pure pineapple scent... no added scents like coconut. Love

Has anyone tried this one in the past?

lol texgirl,

My dh doesn't drink coffee either, but I drink tons. I like the coffee candles because they are a little sweeter than coffee and I like burning them in the kitchen. He thinks the same way though. Smiler

Hot Buttered Rum and Apple Cider would be my choices too. Love

I stopped in at Hallmark today which is pretty rare for me, and would you believe I found 1 Pineapple Paradise Car Jar on the clearance shelf for $1?! Mmmmmmmmm it's pure pineapple and smells sooooooooooooo good. Love What a coincidence to just mention this scent a few days ago, then find it as a complete surprise. Smiler

I was reading the posts on MUA & apparently YC really does listen to what customers have to say. There have been some scents brought back by popular demand in 22 oz. jar form. These will be catalog/online exclusives.

Back By Popular Demand Scents:
Almond Toffee
Apple Cider
Christmas Berries
Christmas Wish
Citrus Spice
Eucalyptus
Fireside
Golden Spiced Pear
Key Lime Pie
Milk & Cookies
Patchouli
Seaside Holiday
Sugared Plum
Vineyard

Out of all the scents returning, the one that I would most like is Milk & Cookies. Unfortunately, it's only available in large jars. I know it was available in small jars last holiday season, but I didn't end up getting one although I was toying w/ the idea.

And for those of you who were interested in Hot Buttered Rum, I saw some jars (couldn't remember whether they were med. or large) in that @ the YC outlet I went to earlier this wk.

that is the VERY NICE thing about Yankee. Festival of Lights and Sugar Plum came back last year as well for a short time. Witches Brew comes and goes a lot too around halloween time. The only bad thing about yankee is they really don't give much notice if something is going to get the plug pulled.... Nono

The SA @ YC told me yesterday that they were expecting to get Almond Toffee back in stores. However, she didn't know about the product availability. She said it could be everything or just jars. I've actually smelled a large jar in that scent & it does smell quite good. However, large jars are way too much for me.

Are the YC travel candles in those tins discontinued items? I couldn't find them on their website. Anyway, I saw a ton of them at TJMaxx today in Cranberry Mandarin, Raspberry 'n Cream, Honeydew Melon, Home for the Holidays, and lots more that I can't remember right now.
The price for each is $3.99 at TJMaxx.
I just thought I'd post about it in case someone likes them.

The tins are discontinued items. At TJ Maxx, I also saw Fresh Comfort & Sunwashed Linen. But I've also seen some of the tins on clearance @ Bed Bath & Beyond as well @ Linens & Things.
