I absolutely LOVE Billy Blank's Tae Bo. Does anyone else? My roommate has one of the Bootcamp DVDs, which I try to do a couple times a week. It's definitely intense, and I don't always do the entire hour, but I feel like I'm getting more of a workout than if I were to go to the gym and use the bike or elliptical for 30 minutes. I used to do the basic, advanced, and 8 minute VHS tapes, but now I just love the intensity of the Bootcamp DVD! Big Grin

something i really wish he would work on for his videos is not assuming we know the perfect form for the punches and kicks. he tears through it pretty quick. a MAJOR thing i wish he would work on is his vocal presence. he sputters and stammers and slobbers all over the place......even at the beginning. he kind of reminds me of those football and basketball players that get interviewed on the news. ugh. who let THEM talk? Roll Eyes

but you are right about it being a good workout.

off topic: on the Biggest Loser DVD with Bob, as he does punches and kicks or any other exercise, his trainees are all doing the same movements, but not in sync with each other. i never know if i am supposed to be punching like suzie or rebounding like Matt at that moment. there isn't a definite beat as to movements.

He must have been around for a while, because I remember doing his tapes back in 8th and 9th grade instead of running laps for gym class. I can't remember much, but I do remember liking his tapes a lot!

I did some of these tapes in gym class in school too, Wendy! Those were fun days because everyone seemed so uncoordinated. Crazy

I just did about 30 minutes of his Bootcamp DVD to get out of my workout slump! I really hope I keep it up! Plus it's getting to be nicer weather recently (high of 60 today!) so that means walking more often! Big Grin

I have a few of his videos.

The newest one is Billy's favorite moves which I love! It's a good workout and has good music.

I have to laugh at some of the outfits he wore in the older videos. Some were just a tad to revealing Red Face

I totally agree with you, Valerie! It can be really funny to watch him in the older tapes. I have Billy's Favorite Moves also, I laugh at the part where he starts doing the dance moves! Rotflol

I think my favorite is definitely the Bootcamp DVD. Even though it is REALLY tough at first, I feel like I get the most out of it because of that fact. I remember the first time I ever did it, I could barely walk that night after doing all those squats, so I kind of just fell into bed! happydance Even doing just 20-30 minutes of that DVD makes me feel like I've gotten plenty of exercise! I feel like I accomplish more doing 30 minutes of Tae Bo than just doing 30 minutes on an elliptical or bike.
