Hubby & I joined in February. We paid for the whole year and got 2 years free. When the 4th year starts up we'll only be paying $49 each for the year. We thought it was the best deal. We also got a personal trainer. I have mine for ten 50 minute sessions. So far so good. I think this is something I can stick with and I like my trainer. She's been where I am so she understands.

Is anyone else a member?

I'm not a member of a gym either.
When I first moved in with my husband, I joined his gym. The first week, I went 4 times, the second week I also went 4 times, the third I went 3 times, the fourth week I went only once. Can you guess how many times I went the week after that?!
I cancelled my membership soon after. Shhh

ugh, you know, i wanted to join a gym, but
the people act like your buying a house or a car
and they wont tell you upfront how much.
i would be interested in that sort of thing
only if they are cheap.
Clapfor those who are going to the gym
it take a lot of dedication.
i joined ballys years ago and went 2 out of the three years in the contract.
id like to get in shape again.

Oh, 24 Hour wasn't like that at all. We were shown all of the pricing up front and what would be best for us in the long run. Took us 3 hours but they were very patient with us and never rushed us even though it was almost 9 pm when it was all done.

I've been a member of Lifetime Fitness for about 5 years now. We don't have 24 Hour Fitness around here. I LOVE my gym membership - I make good use out of it, as I go 6 or 7 days a week. I like to go to the group fitness classes, like Step and Kickboxing. I love working out!
