I need some tips on how to fit exercise into my crazy retail work schedule. My feet are killing me at the end of the day and I don't always want to go walk. I bought a Total Gym, but I don't really have a room I can keep it set up in...and I don't care what they say -- it is a job getting that heavy sucker set up and I don't want to fight with it. Any suggestions anyone has would be appreciated!

Hi jano1,

I know before I started working at home, I was so exhausted from work, that the last thing I wanted to do was walk for exercise. How about light weights? I bought the leg weights and little barbells and tried to either do that before work or after work. But then again, I am like a lot of people who buy this stuff and use it a few times and then it collects dust in my basement. Big Grin I try to start a program when I am trying to quit smoking because i am 5'7" and 120 pounds so I really don't need to lose weight, but I need to get healthier. I am horrible because I am snuffing out one now. Eeker

I quit smoking in 96. My husband wanted to quit a long time before that and was after me constantly but I just wasn't ready. On June 1 1996 I decided we would both quit. I woke up and smelled smoke coming up the stairs. DH was puffing away on a cigiarette after we had agreed to quit!!!! Well, I did quit that day and it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be......DH also quit but several years later.

I think I do have some weights somewhere and I might give it a try. Not tonight though. It is already 11:30, just got home about 30 minutes ago, and I have to leave at 6:30 am to go to a district meeting out of town....(ya think I would go to bed, but I can't fall asleep till I wind down...plus the time change..ugh!) I will look for those weights when I am off Thursday though.

Hope everyone has a good week!

TRY YOGA.. It is awesome and relaxing.
You can buy DVD'S or Tapes or hit a good Yoga Class. Colleges are no offering Yoga classes at a decent Price. It is wonderful for stress.
Speaking of Which I need to Hit the GYM for a good stretch.
