Lately I have been encountering skin care products containing red tea. Does anyone have any recommendations? I aw some body butter from Terra Nova on Amazon and am tempted to order some. I believe it is red tea and cocoa, but not absolutely sure.
Bvlgari has a The Rouge EDP @ SAKS but I was not impressed with the fragrance..rather spicy.
However, I have read some interesting sutff about read tea. I do love the Origins White Tea line except for the tea which you 'drink' because it gives you the 'shytz'. I suppose this is the result of green an white tea having a 'purging' effect for weight loss.
Don't need a case of the 'peupies' at this point though.

iliveatbbw,

Did you mean you've never had your tea leaves 'read'? Or you've never had 'red tea'?

I just 'googled' south beach skin care and found a line of skin care products containing red tea.
The sampler kit IS tempting....
Just say no to drugs!

I just got back from Paris & tried red tea for the 1st time! Apparently it is from a 'bush' vs the tea plant Camellia Sinensis. It has no stimulating effects (no theine so caffeine-free) and very little tannin. It's supposed to be high in vitamin C, mineral salts, and protein. Tastes great but not sure what it does in cosmetics!

I believe that is the one. I like the smell of it. And white tea, black tea and green tea in skin care products or as fragrances.
They are very therapeutic and spa like.

Will not drink them as they have a 'laxative' effect. Ladies, please don't try the green tea diet or you will be on the 'terlet' all night.

Interesting to note. Coffee is supposed to reduce cellulite. Dunno, because guys don't have it. Chocolate is supposed to release chemicals in the brain. Not sure about that. Most guys do not crave sweets. I just like it, Especially the new Hershey's 60% Cacao dark chocolate bars.

Got a bottle of Red Tea and Cocoa Blossom fragrance oil and some body butter from Terra Nova (which is the boutiquey arm of Body Time..the owners of both entities are relatives. Both companies have interesting histories being the 'first' body care companies in the US)

The Terra Nova stuff smells like a chocolate 'Jelly Belly'. Not bad but not unique either.

Will pass on the Bvlgari The Rouge (Red Tea) unless one of my friends hooks me up with some.
$75 bucks, it's not worth it

It's very similar to the Elizabeth Arden Spiced Green Tea. Which my German friend gave me when she worked for EA. Too bad they closed all of the Filene's here. My whole family liked her because she spoke English with a wonderful accent and worked just to 'keep busy' (ex was loaded). She is a friend of 'Doubtfire' my Clinique lady. She also doesn't really have to work because her husband is a diplomat from Sweden.
It's really great when counter managers become personal friends and our families can visit and enjoy good European food.
