I am so lazy, I really need to start shaping up. I'm contemplating whether or not I should go do aquafit. Does anyone do aquafit? Does it help?

Good luck Alina Cheerleader

Hmmm...I try and go to the gym as much as I can. I usually alternate between weights, cardio, raquetball and abs...despite all my efforts, though, i'm still rather pudgy

I work out about 5 days a week - alternating muscle groups to make sure I have at least one day in between each muscle workout.

- I run or powerwalk for 10 miles every morning.
- Then I run up and down 60 flights of stairs.
- I do 1.5 hours of Ashtanga Yoga
- I do 1.5 hours of Pilates
- I go to Kickboxing or Aeroboxing class
- I go to Tae Bo Class
- I go to Spinning classes
- I do Cardio and Power workouts
- I also have a seperate 30 minute intense Abs class (I have a 6 pack now Yes Woohoo that I am very proud of).

These are all on alternate days...although the running/power walking/Yoga/stairs are all done daily.

There are a few things that are best done in the evening and some things that are best done in the morning - depending on whether you want to burn fat/loss weight or whether you want to sculpt muscle.

That is...when I am not sick :O(. UGH!

Oh my goodness! That is a crazy, intense workout schedule. I wish I had the dedication and motivation to do all of that (and the time). Good for you! If I were you i'd definitely go out and shop as a reward Clap

LOL I know it is :O) and it definitely seems nutty when I see it all listed down that way, but it's simply something I do. I never thought of it as anything remarkable.
I've been fencing for 21 years now and have played hockey for 11 years, so a strict athletic regimen was always a part of my day.
Now I am just addicted (physically) and I honestly can't see myself not working out...which is what's making being sick even worse since I am not allowed to exert too much energy.

Hey mall walking is a definitely calorie burner btw winking.

LOL I am simply addicted. Thing is though muscles are the most ungrateful parts of our body. You can work on sculpting your body for years...and stop for 2 weeks...your body will start to go to heck. Very disconcerting LOL.

And actually YES laundry does count...you'd be surprised but eating burns a lot of calories. Eating celery for example (although I don't know why you'd want to *blech*) has negative calories, meaning the act of eating the celery stick burns more calories than you gain from eating the actual celery stick.

I'm not an exerciser. I guess it's because I hate playing sports, hate working out. I was the kid in gym class who always got hit in the face with the ball and had to be sent to the nurses office. I do like to go for walks though, or when I'm bored toss the baby in the stroller and go feed the ducks or walk the mall. BUT I can also admit the number one cause for my excessive weight is MYSELF too!

Speaking of food...you know, I'm kinda hungry Popcorn Cake wine

Tonight I went to a water aerobics class for the 1st time. Fish I actually think I prefer swimming laps to that, but we shall see how this goes. Right now, I smell like chlorine even though I took a shower after I got out of the pool. Crap I'll probably be going back on Sat. Since the pool facility is close to the mall where the BBW flagship & the remodeled VS is, I'll probably go there after I get done. Tonight, I did go to the mall after the water aerobics class & I noticed that I felt lighter & walked a lot faster.

I haven't had a lot of energy to powerwalk or run in the morning lately so I've doubled up on Yoga and Pilates. I just finished a workout and I just know my abs and quads are going to hate me in the morning Crap.
I miss the rush of adrenaline after a good run though...so I am working on starting back up. I'll eventually want to powerwalk/run more than 10 miles though since I've been doing that for too long already and it's time to challenge the muscles Yes.

Oh I remember the days I enjoyed a six pack! What fond memories! Rotflol The last few years have seriously taken a toll on my body! But I've been trying to take exercising a lot more seriously in the last couple of weeks. I've been doing my Tae Bo videos with Billy Blank. I wear my sauna suit while I do it so I work up a good sweat! Think I'll ask for the one by Gold's Gym for Mother's Day. Yes

I've also played tennis a couple of times with my daughter. Of course, that entails me going out the fence multiple times to retrieve the ball I hit out there! Smiler

Okay it would have been totally awesome if you were here Lovey it sounds like we seriously have a lot in common. Besides, I already know you'd be a blast to hang out with Big Grin.
I guess I should have checked this thread first before asking you in the other thread if you take Tae Bo too Woot. I looooove Tae Bo...I do it at the gym though - of course I am thinking I might follow suit and just do it on my own with a video because nothing irks me more than going to class at the gym and instead of an hours workout, I have to watch all these tweens and desperados flirt with the instructor - which of course distrupts the class as a whole. Gahhhhhh Bonk.

Rotflol I do love Tae Bo! I used to go to a class a few years ago. There was an excellent instructor on the Air Force base and I lived close by. But the instructor left and the next one didn't do it for me, then I moved away. So while I was overseas, I started collecting the dvds. I enjoy the classroom setting; it's a great motivator. But with the dvds, I can work out whenever I want! Yes One night, I couldn't sleep so I did a workout at 2 in the morning! Smiler

And I do agree that we'd have a blast together! I don't think we'd ever run out of things to do or talk about. Let's face it, we're both pretty interesting, don't you think? Rotflol
