Since this appears to be a much discussed topic in the holiday section, I thought it deserved its own thread. Yes

*Overview*
Available in stores on 12/1, some products available online now.

I actually saw a new product in Glamour magazine in this scent. It was called "luxurious bath pearls" & is priced at $19. It comes in a style of packaging similar to the EDTs. This product sounds interesting, but I wish it was cheaper. Regardless, I'm looking forward to trying out this scent next month.

I'm very excited about this new scent. I'm a huge vanilla fan and would love something new to try! It sounds really great, I can't wait to try it in December! Love

I agree, Meg, I'm a huge vanilla fan too and am excited to see a new vanilla scent coming out. The notes sound delicious! I'm sincerely hoping it's nothing like WVS. Nono

I went into a BBW yesterday & was hoping to get lucky and see one of these, but no such luck. The original vanilla bean was one of my favorites & was the reason I started shopping at BBW back in the 90s. The vanillas that have come out since I haven't liked, and unfortunately I'm a bit leary of the fragrance notes & description of this one. Some of the fragrances that they had come out with recently (chocolate amber, blackberry amber, black amethyst) have way too much going on for me and I'm hoping this isn't a mish mash of fragrance notes that don't quite fit..I hope I'm wrong, though! I'd love to get my hands on another yummy vanilla...

Me too! My favorite vanilla fragrance was "Fresh Vanilla" but that scent was discontinued years ago...haven't found a vanilla scent I liked since then...I can't wait to try this one. Smiler

^ Fresh Vanilla was my favorite BBW vanilla too. I'm interested to see how VN compares to that one if it does at all.

I also love the French Vanilla scent they have in Home Fragrance that they just brought back in new packaging at White Barn stores, and wish that vanilla scent was available in body care.

I got to smell VN today. I am pleasantly surprised with it.
It's a bit floral to me, and kind of reminds me of TBS Shea Cashmere, but better.
I'll definitely be purchasing the EdT is this scent.
I am curious to find out what the rest of you think of it.Smiler

Got the Vanilla Noir fragrance mist today after weeks of anticipation and.... it didn't float my boat.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. It is an improvement over warm vanilla sugar, but I still prefer Fresh Vanilla. It IS deeper than Fresh Vanilla, especially initially, but dries down to just another vanilla. High hopes dashed... disappointment abounds.

I really like the VN scent. I bought it online a couple of weeks ago and have gotten quite a few compliments on it already.
I am not a real sweet, foodie scent person and in fact VBNoel is over the top for me. I prefer scents like JCBlossom, Sensual Amber etc
VN dries down to a soft warm vanilla musk on me and is quite nice.
The candle is wonderful too and in a beautiful brown amber jar.

I finally got a chance to try this today, and I'm sorry to say I really hate it. It comes across as a very mature fruity/floral. The vanilla I can barely detect. The only one I can think of that this may be similar to is the spiced vanilla (do you guys remember that one from several years back?), but even that one was more vanilla than this one. Disappointing.

I wish they would come back with the plain-jane Vanilla Bean from years back. Frowner

I got a chance to smell Vanilla Noir today. Yes I do detect a musky floral as well as a vanilla note. I liked it enough to try a lotion in it. But I don't feel like buying an EDT; it's too amber looking. Crap

I was dying to try this scent since I love most vanillas. I ordered the lotion and shower gel online, got a free splash in MP for mom.
Don't like the Vanilla Noir scent at all, it's too strong and flowery for me, reminds me of Velvet Tuberose. I don't smell vanilla at all. No one at work really liked it either. If none of my daughters like it I will try to sell it on E-Bay. I haven't liked a new scent from the Signature line since I can't remember when, Brown Sugar & Fig and Fresh Vanilla I think. OH, I do like Midnight Pomegranete.
I want the Temptations line back!!

The last one I liked was the Rice Flower & Shea. I'm not a fan of most of the current scents either. Vanilla Bean was my favorite vanilla and would like to see that one come back for a sale. Does anyone know if they will be bringing back any classics this time around? (I think I heard someone mention that they weren't planning on doing that again, at least not for now)

I have to say I love Vanilla Noir. I picked up the luxe EDT the other day and went back for the body lotion today. I think it smells great on me! A new favorite!

I liked Vanilla Noir so much, picked up the B3G2 free deal.

Never smelled the ORIGINAL Vanilla Bean because there was no BBW in this area at the time.

I have liked all of BBWs vanilla scents tho, esp FV.
Love
