Noelle,

Henri Bendel is an overpriced fancy specialty store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. I'd hate to see what a salad costs there now.

Bendel mainly has very expensive womens'clothing, cosmetics, etc. and a few mens' items. Their pricing is on the same par as Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman.

I wonder if the 'cachet' of owning a Bendel fragrance is more intriguing than the actual product itself?

I am not certain if Limited Brands still owns part of Abercrombie or not. That remains a mystery. I do recall seeing the old 'Calico' fragrance in A&F some years ago.

The 'old' A&F mens' fragrances were repackaged verions of the 'terrible 3' from BBW, but are no longer on the market.

I went to another mall yesterday which was recently 'rehabbed.' VS was closed for the floorset and the 3 BBWs there were really picked over.

The best item from the BBW sale would have to be the Creamy Coconut antibacs. I am going back tonight to see if there are any more. I did see splashes, shower gels and lotion in the Strawberry Lemonade in two of 'em.

Actually the Body Shop had more 'loot'. The Honey Body Butter isn't bad. The Soy is evil.

As I have no private duty tonight, I shall see what The Vickster has to offer. All I want is some 'Dr Pepper' and 'Kiddie Tylenol.' Mixed together they smell like Pepto Bismol.

Jeff, you always mention the "Dr Pepper" aka Passionate Kisses and "Kiddie Tylenol" aka Sweet Temptation-do you actually really like those scents or do you just like making fun of them? Rotflol I can't tell Rotflol

My favourite sale find has to be the TBS Bee Good buff! I love the scent! And for 75% off you can't go wrong. Other great deals were the TD Sugar Wafer and LM EDT's for 75% off as well (their mistake, my fortune)!

Anan,
Rotflol

I really DO like those two. I have to use 'nicknames' because so many VS lotions and splashes are 'pink' in color and it's hard to tell them apart in the 'bins'

Actually the VSB sale at our mall was sort of disappointing. There were several large sale bins of Pretty in Pink. I don't like that one or Secret Crush. Passionate Kisses was only available in body cream tubes and I found one splash.

I saw some Heavenly splashes for approx $8 in the plastic spritzers.

There was no indication the Mood lotions or shower gels were 'on sale' nor the Limited Edition Garden stuff like the Coconut or Grapefruit.

The Mood Sweet Craving gift set was $14.99 which is a good deal. The 'sachet' and 'candle' can always be 'regifted'.

Tons of Aura Science. Now the Recoup and Transform at 75% off is a fantastic deal. These two products actually work. Our store was out of Recoup. Great product which produces 'instant gratification'. The potassium and caffeine in it get rid of puffiness very quickly.

The makeup, which I really don't know too much about, was really picked over. When I worked at VSB I never recall selling any of it. I do know the foundations are rather...Cover Girl...and the Mosaics rather 'glizty'.

I think the 'guys' got the short end of the sale because it was only B1G1F on the VS for Him body wash and lotion. Last sale they had the shaving bags with a 1.7 oz cologne and small minis of A/S and body lotion for $19.00. Bummer. Not one of my faavorites for men but they could have dragged a few from out back.

I didn't see any Decadent Desire because I don't think VS makes 'em up new for the sale and is only 'clearing out' old stuff from the stockroom. By this time, Decadent Desire would have 'turned'.

BBW had in more Creamy Coconut anti bacs, splashes and lotions which were 'snagged'. The TD 'sampler' packs and Jaqua samplers are not moving. A few TD LM and CF lotions were left.
By now, most of the good stuff is gone. Additional CACA Cabana came in but not selling too well. Stick a fork in the BBW sale, it's pretty much 'done'.

The Body Shop still has a few good items remaining but is running low. I was seriously pi@@ed because of no strawberry Juice It. So i grabbed a few other Juice Its in Mango and Peach as it's really the best one. TBS does manufacture new product for their sales or brings it in from the UK.

The new TBS almond body butter and shower gel are awesome. Even though I know the manager she would not sell me any. However, she made me all the 'samples' I want to tide me over until they pull the trigger and release the product.

Incidentally, VSB was loaded with Mood Sweet Craving EDP at full price. They could make a 'killing' if they would do a 'ship send'. Same with VSN..a lot of product on the shelves.

When you look at it, $45-$49 for a large bottle of EDP is well...sort of reasonable compared to department store prices.

Will check out a more 'respectable' mall at the end of the week to see what's left. Just popped out of the house last night to...what's left of out mall in town. Can we say, downscale mall.

I bought 3 jars of Recoup yesterday at 75% off, used it today - and it really does work. Well worth the $50 normal price tag. I don't intend to ever run out... do you know if this will still be made, just not sold in VSB stores? I sure hope it will still be around directly through Aura Science. That stuff is a miracle in a jar. I always have an issue with puffiness around my eyes, and I'd estimate that within an hour and a half, the puffiness had decreased by 75%. Eeker

Well, I can't very well call this a 'find' since I didn't find it, but my Tiramisu edt is definately one of my favorite items from this sale.

Love from Becky
