Hi there -

I think it's common knowledge by now that there is a new 'Temptations' line (not exactly sure how "new" it is but it is certainly new to me) and I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on these products (the body splashes specifically)?!?

Although originally from the States, I am living/working abroad at the moment, and so unfortunately I cannot physically go and sniff the products out for myself *insert sad face here* :O(.

I am definitely interested in giving 'Temptations' a shot, but am eager to know what you all think.

Any input you might have will be most appreciated :O). Thanks so much in advance you guys :O).

LOL thanks for the input :O). You've definitely got me curious enough to add the scent to my ever-growing (never-ending is more like it) "must try" list.
I hope I get to them all before they get discontinued *winks and laughs*.

So many B&B products...so little time ;OP...

They actually had these last year but were in & out so fast no one really remembers them. I had gotten tropical colada which is the same this year. They changed one scent the other 2 are the same, the other one being frozen daquari. The promagranate is new this year I think because it's the new thing everyone is trying. I can't remember what the other one was last year. Anyone remember? I personally don't like it but that's just my taste. I don't like anything with a "grapefruity" note to it & this seems to have it. The daquari is like a strawberry smoothie to me. I like it but probably won't get any. I'd rather wait for the sale & hope to find strawberry lemonade or iced pineapple there. They also changed the packaging this year which I do like better. Flower

PS...do you know how to add smileys to you posts? When you're on the message screen just click on the happy face in the left corner. There's tons to choose from, thanks to Cindy. Banana

The other one was Apple Martini.Smiler

I really like all three scents. I am happy that they introduced Pomegranate Martini this year, I really didn't like Apple Martini. I did not get any of the ST lotions last year, because the packaging was very unattractive. But I learned my lessonSmiler

Pomegranate Martini smells a bit like VS Love Spell but better in my opinion.

I Love the packaging! The other fragrance last yr. was Apple Martini, but I guess everyone got tired of BBW offering apple scents. My opinions on this yr.'s fragrances are as follows: Frozen Daiquiri is awesome Love, Pomegranate Martini is OK, & Tropical Colada needs to go back to the warehouse. I'm basically just using up my lotion coupons now as an excuse for me to buy TD & Frozen Daiquiri body washes. Big Grin I hope Temptations line will be back next yr., but I would like to see new fragrances. Personally, I'm hoping for Cosmopolitan & Lime Margarita.

My favorite is...I really dont have one! I like different things in each line. I love the tropical Colada shimmer lotion, The Daquiri 3 in 1, and I like the mist and candle in Martini. I like all the oils, and have all the candles. I have all the 3 in 1's just because I had to have them.//Its a very appealing line to everyone I think.

I've yet to buy any of them. If I get anything, I'll get a Pomegranate Martini splash and lotion. I don't like the Tropical Colada and I still have plenty of Frozen Daq from last summer.

I want to get a lip gloss. I think they look cute.

Pomegranate Martini is my favorite, followed by Tropical Colada. I have a frozen Daiquiri lotion, but I'm in no hurry to use it. I burnt out on that scent last year. I kind of did the same with TC, but I'm mixing it with Jaqua's Buttercream Frosting to make a Hawaiian Wedding Cake scent. Love

Texgirl - Oh okay see I wasn't aware that the Temptations line was available beforehand (that it wasn't new) but then again I'm finding out there's a world of things I wasn't aware of before I came across this board and MUA. I need to make up for lost time :O).
As for scents I totally get what you're saying! I am a huge fan of warmer scents - anything fruity (absolutely nothing too citrusy, tart-like, or floral) that has depth to it (a la: mango, pineapple, any kind of berry, etc...oddly enough I'm realllly liking the mango mandarin scent. Albeit a tad citrusy it has a vanilla-like/cotton candy-like note to it that entices me).
You've made me curious about the Daquiri to be honest so I'll definitely be trying it. The Strawberry Lemonade and the Iced Pineapple are on my list of "must try's" as well :O).
PS: And, yes I know I can add the little emoticons. I'm a programmer/web-site builder/graphic designer, in addition to my day trade so html or bb-code is a part of my world. I prefer the olde school smileys however lol. Thanks for the heads up though *winks*!

Fryl28- What you're saying makes sense. I don't think I'd like anything with Apple in it. From experience they all smelled like fermented apples (ie: beer)...blech. But the rest...must try :O).

Megan- LOL @ 'Tropical Colada' needing to go back to the warehouse. I think that about a few BBW scents. It's a huge pet peeve of mine that so many good scents (not specifically by BBW) get discontinued but the yucky ones that are already older than dirt always stay around forever. Gahhh!
[i]Lime Maragrita[/b] yummmm...someone pass me the salt ;OP. JK.

Mom22boys - Okay so you like the Colada but not the Daquiri :O). So many schools of thought...I wish I could physically go and just sniff & try :O(. Must try them all I think...only solution :O)! Tadda...that was easy *winks*.

BBW MANAGER - Yes...very appealing ;O)..."unfortunately" lol. With everything (and there's a lot) I need to try I know my wallet doesn't share the same school of thought however ;OP. I'm glad it doesn't get a vote lol.

anan021 - Go for it girly...I'm right behind ya :O).

Becky - You just reminded me (unintentionally)...I HAVE to try the rest of the 'Tutti Dolci' line. The only one I've tried is the Fantasia di Cioccolata and I think it's absolutely decadent :O) *drools*. Someone sent it to me to try...I never would have tried anything chocolate-like had it not happened "coincidentally". Who knew it'd be wonderful (in my opinion) ;O) *wonders if they're all like that*.
PS: I've never tried anything from Jaqua by the way. Ever *pouts*.

Kaylor, I don't normally recommend apple scents, but you have to try Apple Torta from the Tutti Dolci line, it is something I would simply not want to do withoutSmiler It's divine!!! I am willing to bet that you'd love it too.

Kayla, welcome to the board! Wave

As I've expressed before, the beauty of
BBW is that there's something for everyone! And it's really hard to judge a scent based on feedback. I've heard raves about a scent only to be very disappointed when I tried it for myself. You just can't tell how appealing it will or won't be to you. Personally, I love TC, think FD is ok, and PM is boring. Ask five more people, probably 5 more opinions! Wink

What I think you can take from the board is that almost everyone seems to like at least one of the Temptations scents, so I'm sure you will like at least one too! Big Grin So be sure to post back and tell us what you like! (And yes, you definitely have to try more Tutti Dolci!!) Mango I think Lemon Meringue is my favorite right now.

Hi Fryl28 Welcome - Is the Apple Torta still available? The reason I ask is because I haven't seen it on the BBW site.
I'll look again, and I'll make a point of giving it a try. With such a review how could I not? I'm always up for trying something new. Who knows I might just find a new favorite :O).

Lovey Welcome - Thanks for the warm welcome and my name's Kaylor by the way *smiles* (not Kayla *winks*) nice to "meet" you :O).

And to quote you:

You are absolutely right! I am not saying that if something gets a stellar review or a less than stellar review I will try one and not the other, but because I am abroad I don't have the luxury of actually going and sniffing all the scents out myself and simply buying the ones I like most. I have to stagger the purchases, which is why I try to do so wisely. The reviews simply help me to:
1. Know what others think of the products - I not only find your opinions interesting but it's always an opportunity to find out something new.
and;
2. It helps me to decide not so much which product to try instead of the other, but which product to try first :O).

As for the TD line...ohhh I'll definitely charge head-long into that one :O). I'll be sure to post my reviews of course...and Lemon Meringue is a definite "must try"...it has been for a while now.

UGH @ BBW for not shipping internationally *grumbles* :O(.

I appreciate the input. I really appreciate it :O).

Kaylor, you definitely have to check out more of the TD & Jaqua lines. There's a thread in the Poll Room called "Favorite Tutti Dolci" where I'm sure you can find out more opinions on TD scents. I think there's also a thread in the Poll Room where we discuss our favorite Jaqua scents. But I will try to provide a crash course on TD & Jaqua.

Current TD Scents:
Creme Brulee
Mango Sorbetto
Fantasia Di Cioccolatta (usually referred to as FDC)
Lemon Meringue
Sugar Wafer

Discontinued TD Scents:
Cinnamon Frosting
Chocolate Fondue
Angel Food Cake (also referred to as AFC)
Pineapple Chiffon
Raspberry Granita
Amaretti
Apple Torta
Tiramisu Veneziano

Jaqua Bakery:
Buttercream Frosting (lotion, body butter, shower syrup, scrub, dry oil spray)
Peach Parfait (lotion, body butter, shower syrup, hand cream, scrub, body mist, dry oil spray)
Lemon Meringue (body butter)
Pink Buttercream Frosting (body mist, hand cream, lip gloss)

Jaqua Café:
Chocolat (body butter)
Marshmallow Cocoa (body butter)
Vanilla Latte (shower syrup)
Chai Spice Latte (foot cream, shower syrup)
Caramel Cappuccino (shower syrup, lip gloss)
Citrus Verbena (hand cream, dry oil spray)

Jaqua Ivy Cottage Inn:
Ambrosia Melon (lotion, scrub)
Tuscan Orange (lotion, body butter, shower syrup, lip gloss)
Banana Spice Cake (lotion, body butter)
Maple Syrup (shower syrup, scrub)

Jaqua Florals:
Rose In Bloom (body butter)
White Rose Bergamot (body butter, body mist)
Rose Bergamot (shower syrup, bath syrup)

All Jaqua is current although it looks like the Café collection is getting discontinued. VS has some Vanilla Latte shower syrup on sale for $8.99. All of the other Jaqua products on the VS website are full price. In addition, Jaqua has their own website.

Kaylor, Apple Torta came out last year for fall and got discontinued after the sale. It sometimes pops up on the BBW website in the Sales & Special section. I got the sampler set in March of this year, eventhough I stocked up last year. Big Grin

Cinnamon Frosting, Lemon Meringue, Raspberry Granita, Sugar Wafer and Angel Food Cake (lotion) are other favourites of mine.

Sorry, to have gone off topic. Angel

My bad! I don't pay attention as well as I should sometimes. Big Grin

As I recently moved back to the states myself, I understand your dilemma. I actually used Sweet Pea for three years straight because I hate to be disappointed. So my family just sent me the same thing every year!

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Temptations line, no matter what you buy. The 3 in 1 is really great and the bottle is huge! I would suggest the smaller versions, and you get all three! I've only seen it online though. Although I am sure you'll have your favorite, none of them are horrible. You really can't go wrong!
