I'm new

I was at my Victoria's Secret this weekend, and saw some new scents that had just come in that day...LE. They are: Sweet Sugar, Berry Sugar, and Coconut Sugar.
I really liked the Sweet Sugar, it smelled familiar and I couldn't figure out why, but this morning I think I got it...I think it smells like Vanilla Bean Noel. Let me know if anyone else agrees!

Bad squishy! Bad!

I think Sweet Sugar smells identical to Sugar Candy from last year's Insatiable collection. The Coconut Sugar smells like the Coconut Vanilla that came out last year, too.

Hmm...I think I'm going to have to try to go smell these. Although I wish the VS marketing department would be a little bit more creative in coming up w/ scent names. That's the 3rd scent w/ the name "berry" in it in the past 4 months.

Thanks for the info!

I'll definitely have to go smell these soon. I loved the Vanilla Coconut Passion that came out last year, so if that's the one you're talking about Amanda then I'll be interested in Coconut Sugar.

I actually have to go exchange something at VS, so hopefully they're out at all stores by the end of the week when I plan to go.

I agree.

There has been an over abundance of fragrances with berry, blossom or blushing as names.

With all of the recycling of scents, packaging and so forth, it's getting difficult to keep track of what's REALLY new.

Thanks for the info!!! Big Grin
I am going to the mall tomorrow, so hopefully they have these out. I dont have high hopes for them though, it seems like the past few LE scents have all smelled pretty similar to me. I would love to see some different scents other than Coconut or Berry.

I stopped by VS yesterday afternoon to check these out....

SA said she didn't know anything about them. And maybe they were on line exclusives.

I noticed our VS is looking rather messy and devoid of products. Hope it's not destined to become another 'white wall' as VSB did.

Well poopie. LOL.

I should help them stock shelves and clean the place up...

WILL WORK FOR FREE PRODUCTS!

Crazy

ADDENDUM: There is a new Coconut Sugar Lotion up for bid on Ebay now!

The packing reminds me of a Johnson's Baby Lotion bottle..kind of blah.

The Vanilla Coconut Passion LE from last year is going for around $28 or so. Glad I stocked up during the Sale.

That SA is just not up to speed on what's new! They'll definitely be in all stores by the end of the month. I think the official launch date is around the 25th or so.

I really do dislike an uninformed sales person. What's worse is when they don't even seem concerned enough to try and find the answer. I just stand there looking at them sometimes before I ask for the manager. Confused

Here's a link to the aforementioned Coconut Sugar auction on Ebay. I think the packaging looks kinda tacky. And that thing to the left of the bee on the bottom looks kinda weird. Crap

I stopped in my standalone VS tonight to see if I could check these out.

They had them in the back and the SA there let me give Coconut Sugar a sniff, and I agree that it's definitely repacked Vanilla Coconut Passion. Most of the time I can't stand how often that has been done with so many scents, but with this one I'm actually glad to see they chose it if they had to repackage anything at all.

I love VCP and only have less than half a bottle of lotion left. They didn't have it at the SAS in my area either, so I'll be happy to get the chance to get some again. Smiler

I wanted to buy the splash tonight, but they refused to sell any to me. Frowner The SA said it would be out on Sun. (really Monday since the store is closed on Sun.) and I could pick it up then. They were very nice about it but it was still disappointing, because I'll be away from this Sat until early Sept.

I would love to get some before I go away, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I'm going to the mall with a friend tomorrow where there's another VS, but I'm not sure if there's really anything I can say to get them to let me buy some. After hearing about these and knowing people in other areas can buy them now it seems a bit ridiculous to me, but I guess they're just not willing to budge on those things here.

Aw Marissa,

That is messed up. You'd think they would have sold you a splash.

The manager I spoke with @ VS said these were probably HOLIDAY items and wasn't much help either.

Incompetent SA seem to be the norm these days.

I hope you can find a splash elsewhere.

If you were my neighbor, I would have GIVEN you one of mine from the SAS for free.

My VS didnt have any either, in fact when I asked if they had any the SA had never heard of them either. Thats not very shocking to me though. Whenever I ask at my VS about new things, they always give me that confused look. Like I actually invented the item, or made it up. Amanda I wish my VS had some workers like you. Big Grin winking

Jeff,

That's very sweet of you to say or offer had we been neighbors. Smiler

As far as the splash goes, I would've thought they would be eager enough just to sell it at a time like this too. I wasn't too surprised though, because they are always like that here...at both VS and BBW. Every one of the SAs and sometimes managers are very reluctant or stand their ground about not selling something early. The same thing has happened when I tried to buy something a few days early that I wanted in time for a gift. I've probably encountered every answer you can imagine for it too.

Usually it's something like, "We have to test them first...” or "They're packed away in the back and we wouldn't be able to get to them yet..." Again, I'm not complaining since they're always very nice about it, but some of the explanations have been pretty funny and unbelievable. Big Grin

The only reasoning I can think of is the stores and malls are in a pretty upscale area, and possibly they're afraid to break any rules. Actually, I remember being told once by an SA that they could get into some trouble with corporate for releasing/selling an item early.

I know that confused look all to well, Gizmo. Big Grin At BBW it doesn't happen nearly as much, because they're usually on top of things and I go there more often so the SA might recognize me and be willing to go look for an item. Unfortunately, the VS SA are just clueless here.

These all sound tempting but the body splashes from VS don't dry down to good on me. They smell plastic-like for some reason. I don't buy much from VS anymore. sadsmiley

SA @ VS profess not to know anything about these 3 LE scents....

Well a check of eBay revealed ALL THREE in lotion and splash form either as bids or BIN...at high prices no less.

Guess they must have fallen off the truck. They would not sell any to us...however...they will sell them on eBay.

These 'mysteriously' appeared at VS yesterday along with the new Endless Love Body Butter.

Pricing was rather weird...5/$25

Didn't try the Berry Sugar..kinda 'berried out' here.

However, I did pick up the other two 'newbies' with a store credit I was holding.

Here's what they smell like IMO:

Sweet Sugar - Initially smells like Vanilla Lace and then morphs down to the old Insatiable Sugar Candy. I can detect a slight berry note, however.

Coconut Sugar - Does not at all smell like Vanilla Coconut Passion! Coconut Sugar has a distinct floral note, similar to Avon's Tahitian Holiday..the coconut note is very subtle. VSC has a more pronounced suntan lotion scent and is much stronger..glad I have a stash of the old stuff.

Both splash versions of these new LE's are more alcoholish when you first spray them on.

But, hey..they were sort of freeSmiler

Cool
