I was digging through my cabinet and I found some BBW I purchased Feb.'06, I'm thinking of returning them to the store on Wednesday. Is it still ok for me to return them? Would anyone here know if they would give me a refund or merchandise credit?

If you have the reciept, you'll get a refund in the form that you originally paid. If you don't have the reciept, then you get a merchandise credit.

And... if you don't have your receipt, they will give you a credit in the amount of what those items cost in the store that day. So, if you paid full price for those items, it would suck to bring them back if they're now 75% off.

You can also do an even exchange for the same thing in another scent you like. You wouldn't be out any money that way.

I've heard that they trace people who return a lot and that they can ban you from the store. If it's a once-in-a-while thing, then don't worry. Just don't make it into a frequent thing. If you want to return a lot of things, I would advise you to give them away as gifts or swap them away.

I don't think most stores trace customers. We usually just make note if a particular customer comes in a lot then we probe as to why they're making returns. If it's from february 2006 you should get a good portion of your money back, if it's really old then you'll probably only get 25% of what you paid.

Then again you might get a clueless newbie employee who gives you a FULL return (I've had that-it was fun!) Roll Eyes

That actually happened to me. I was returning a DBR product, and one lady told me I could only get 75% credit if I bought something from a different line. She held it up front for me. I picked out a TD product and another lady rang me up. She gave me full credit. I didn't even realize that until I had already left. Escape

On another note, why did this lady give me this 75% rule? I have never, ever heard of that being done. Confused

I have only returned a few things before, and I always got the sale price of course. Frowner

Since I always talk to the managers at the stores, (they love to see me walk in, just like they are for most of you addicts too, when you go I'm sure) Big Grin and they have told me stories about some people actually bring in lotions and splashes that had maybe a 1/4 left (or less) and want exchanges or refunds. Roll Eyes

BBW Manager, edward and other employees, has that happened to you and what did you do?

There are 4 BBW stores in my immediate area. I go to 3 of them most often because they are the closest. All three managers always recognize me when I come in. It's kind of embarrassing. Crazy But there are worse addictions. . . .

I know.. the other day when I went in, the SA said "back again?"? I just laughed it off. They always come over to discuss stuff with me now. I think some of them are BBW junkies too, and just like us, they love to talk about it!

Well, if it's FdC stuff you'll get what it's going for at the sale right now (50% off)

As with any return..You have to be fair, but "play by the rules"..We do offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if it's a candle, body product, whatever-1/4 left? You didn't like it? I'll figure a way to exchange it for what you need. obviously, no receipt=no cash back, and current or last sale price. Its not that bad-I have only had a handful of "bad" returns where people didn't understand policy.

The hardest thing to explain to someone is when they spend a certain amount to qualify for a coupon. Say spend $10, get XX free..if they return the $10 item, they need to return the free thing, or we charge them for it. Thats hard. People seem to think that its "gratis"..and thats it. I have had many a loooooon difficult conversation at the register over that issue.

BBW Manager,

That is really great that BBW does that with products that are returned that were used up so much. Eeker

I just couldn't imagine bringing back something that was almost gone! To me it's like eating everything on your plate when you go out to a restaraunt and then wanting your money back, because you don't like the meal. Roll Eyes Then why did you eat the whole thing? Confused
