Hi, I'm a old member w/a new user name. (formerly mytesbbw-had to re-register). Now onto topic...what did everyone think of the past sas sale? I thought it was disappointing. They didn't seem to have many classic signature scents on sale (where was the creamy coconut or other classic scents), it was hard to find the scents like EC though I did find some in 4. oz and just the overall products for sale weren't that interesting.
Any other views?

The "official word" at the BBW store near "BBW Headquarters" / (aka 'Leslie Wexner's store') was that this past summer's SAS was the last time that "Classic Signature Scents would appear at a SAS... we shall see!...(Been there / done that. Wink

We can certainly hope for something new and exciting in the future. Every time there's a new CEO, things seem to go from one extreme to another. This sale has rather b_o_r_i_n_g with plenty of leftovers from the last sales. The sale was even advertised as a "Summer Clearance Sale" vs. a Semi-Annual Sale. yawning

The same is supposed to be true for the glycerin soaps - discontinued and no longer at SASs.

I heard a SA at a store I went to during the sale about Classics not returning. Honestly, I'm kinda fine w/ that since the Classics were boring for the most part.

And I agree that the sale wasn't all that good this time around. I think I only ended up spending somewhere around $30. Eeker

Overall I thought it was okay. I bought a bunch of wallflowers for 75% off, some rice flower & shea lotions and shower gels, some country apple shower gels for my little one, some green clover & aloe for my hubby, some body scrubs (high lather & aquatanica) for 75% off.

I happen to like some of the classics, so that's disappointing for me to hear about those not coming back. Luckily I was able to get my hands on some lemongrass sage from an outlet store in IL before the sale, and I would have liked to see Lavender Flowers brought back again. Oh well.

I tend to think sales are just okay, until I look back on them a couple of years down the raod and realize the stuff they had then is stuff I want now..(like the foam bursts from years past, which at the time I thought were alright & now I wish I had some to shave my legs, but not enough to break the bank on Ebay).

Here's the amount of money I spent on all 3 sales..BBW, VS and The Body Shop:

$0.00

I did spend over $200 on Avon and MARK stuff. And those products were on sale with free shipping.

Popcorn

What does that tell you about the direction in which mall bath and body care stores are headed?

Coffee

I bought a bunch of scentports at the sale but was the bulk of my purchase. I have spent an enormous amount on Avon just like Jeff! It seems they've had a lot of new and interesting products lately.

Overall I wasnt that impressed with this SAS. The only great thing I found was Peach Nectar products that I wanted. I dont recall the exact amount I spent this sale, but I do know that is was the least amount I have ever spent at the SAS.
