Finally made it into BBW and only stayed 10 minutes or so.

They were burning some foul smelling oil in there.

Checked out the Vanilla Ginger splash and it reminded me of a candle from a craft store.


The manager told me that Twilight Woods will be along the same lines as Moonlight Path, etc.

At least she was knowledgeable.

That will be another no buy.

I'm still a bit excited about holiday. I really want to smell the Winter White fragrances (citrus, fresh and frost) as well as the bigelow Winter lemon. I think I'm mostly just excited for the holidays in general -- I've forgotten about the chaos that snow brings but I'm tired of all this heat.

I was just looking at the Winter White products and noticed that the glass bottles look the same as the Fragrant Waters items they had out this summer. I like the shape and size of those bottles but found it hard to hold AND spray in one hand. I wonder if they are going to be similar in strength, i.e, between a splash and an edt. I'm pretty psyched to try them all. I hope they are in fact NEW formulations and not just existing fragrances with a few top notes thrown in.
Ya know earlier this spring I was thinking how BBW hadn't come out with anything that interested me in a long time and I was getting bored. Now they have all this new stuff coming out and I am gonna just HAVE to try it all haha. Damn you BBW!

I smelled the Twilight Woods (in candle form) and it seemed to remind me of P.S. I Love You. It's very heady and musky, but still kind of light. I wasn't able to get a real sense of the fragrance, though.

The store also had a preview of all of the holiday fragrances, some we know about and some new. Here were the ones I saw:

Vanilla Bean (which didn't seem like an exclusively holiday fragrance)

I didn't see any preview stuff out. But I am very interested in the Vanilla Shortbread home fragrance.

BBW now has 8 oz pump antibacterial hand gels. They come in 4 kinds: Sea Island Cotton, Sweet Pea, Warm Vanilla Sugar, and Unscented.

Right now they are 3/$10. I picked up 3 over the weekend for my desk at work.

I think these bottles looks so gorgeous - esp. the JCB. I wish they would do this kind of packaging normally! They are tricky tricky!
I already own a few of these products yet now I'm going to be tempted to get the Limited packaging because it looks so pretty haha.

Twilight Woods actually smelled quite nice, but I don't think I can get it b/c the name reminds me of a certain teen vampire franchise. Festive Vanilla Fig was mostly fruity, but had a hint of vanilla in it. It's OK; I might get something in it. The only thing is that the Holiday Traditions packaging looks very generic (read: reminiscent of the BBW holiday bodycare knockoff stuff @ TJMaxx) this year.

I went to BBW today, and they have new lip glosses: Crystal Candy, Strawberry Bling, Red Licorice and Sparkling Plum. They also had "Winter Cordials" C.O. Bigelow in Warm Spiced Cider, and they said there would be more of those coming out. The manager told me they had the new winter scents (the pear, vanilla fig, etc) in the back and could sell them but they weren't on sale so I passed for now. They did finally have the Twilight Woods sample and they had the Perfect Fall stuff buy one get one free so I finally got Harvest Berry.

Looks like BBW has a great selection of Holiday items.

Hopefully the newer ones will just not have recyled names and slightly altered fragrances.

Agreed the packaging for the Holiday Traditions line looks kinda generic and WalMartish or TJMaxxish.

VBN - The same. Always liked it.
WCA - The same. It's okay.
Festive Fig - Yuck. Watered down version of BSF
Pear Vanila - Double yuck.


Let's hope the Temptations are more interesting.

I know it was posted a while ago, but I'm so happy Winter is coming back. I just plugged a new Wallflower in (well, one left from last Christmas) this morning and have been happily sniffing it all day long. LOVE it.

I was overwhelmed at BBW today because of all the new stuff. It's so festive now!

*Home Fragrance*
Vanilla Bean: Smells kinda faint.

Vanilla Shortbread: I think this one was misnamed. It smells more like a lemon cookie. But it's good!

*CO Bigelow*
Elixir White: This is the new scent in the men's line. I can't really describe it, but it smelled nice. If I had a bf, I would definitely buy this for him.

Winter Lemon: It doesn't smell the same as the regular CO Bigelow Lemon (it's less tart), but it's definitely a lemon scent. I was expecting something earthier given the description on the website. I may get a few things in this scent, but I don't feel a huge need to stock up on it.

Winter Petal: I love this! It's a soft, feminine, slightly rosy floral. The perfume wasn't in stock today, but I think I'll have to get that next time.

Other things that I saw included the colored Scentbugs, CO Bigelow Winter Cordial lip glosses, & CO Bigelow Ginger Mentha bodycare & lip gloss. I went to the flagship store, so I'm not sure what the regular stores have. Something tells me I'll have to check out a regular store sometime this weekend.

Thanks for the update and reviews, Megan. Since I lemon scents, I will definitely give Vanilla Shortbread and Winter Lemon a shot. I have a gift card I've had FOREVER but every time I've gone, I never find anything I really want.

Went to a BBW today. Bought the Ginger Vanilla shower gel and lotion. Love this scent but it doesn't have much staying power.
Twilight Woods-wanted to love this, but it's just kind of not there for me. Not offensive like I found PS I love you, Vanilla Noir and Velvet Tuberose to be, just not much of anything. Didn't even buy the $1 trial lotion.
Vanilla Fig and Yuletide Pear Vanilla-The fig one was very light and I don't like pear scents, so I won't be buying these. Will stock up on VBN when it goes on sale. Probably my all-time favorite.
The shortbread candle was great. Will get this in the future. Vanilla Bean was very light, as stated by Megan.
I liked the new aromatherapy scent, Lemongrass Cardamom. I would probably buy this in the future.
Bought one of the True Blue Morocco Honey & Date body yogurts at my local outlet store the other day. They had it priced at $4.99. I bought one when it was 50% off a month or so ago. Love this scent!
Hadn't been in a regular BBW store in a while, so got to see the whole line of the new signature packaging as well as the new silk radiance body lotions, triple moisture body cream and shower cream.
My visit was not as good as the anticipation, but positive none the less. I really would like a new scent to get excited about.

I went to a regular store yesterday. The CO Bigelow Winter Naturals (i.e. Winter Petal, Winter Lemon, & Ginger Mentha) weren't out, so that makes me a bit suspicious that it might be a flagship only line.

As far as home fragrance stuff goes, I saw a random candle in Fig Leaves. It was an olive green color & smelled like a plant.

Otherwise, it was pretty much the same stuff.

I bought a trial size splash in Twilight Woods. I love the lotion but the splash has no staying power. Oh well.

I bought the Festive Vanilla Fig SG and got a free Yuletide Pear with coupon. I do like both of these scents. The WCA and VBN are OK but I am a little tired of these repeats each year. It is Nice to see some new things. Can't wait for the Temptations to come out.
