I just looked at the Holiday catalog and I have to say... I'm really disappointed with everything BBW has done for this year's collections. I think I'm going through Temptations withdrawals!

i think the best year was 2000 when they had the mistletoe magic, sugared shortbread, etc.
i think they need to crossover some products
from home fragrance or the kids into the signature collection.

I miss the Temptations too, Amanda! They definitely should've continued the line in some capacity. I can actually understand those kind of scents not being available all year, but it would've been great to see them at least come out seasonally especially for the holidays. I'm glad to see TP back, but I would've loved something new as well.

I sure hope they bring back the Tempations in some form. It was my favorite line!! I just shop at the outlet store now and don't care if I get to a regular BBW store, although I haven't smelled the Black Amethyst yet. I got some good deals at the outlet store today. Cancer Vixen shower gel and lotion, travel sized BSF lotions (2), travel size Fresh Vanilla Shower gel, Travel size rainkissed leaves shower gel (for my sister, I don't like the scent) and 2 blue duckies for the grandkids. I paid less than $15 with tax. I'm tempted to order online when I get an e-mail with good deals, but I'm stocked up for the next 2 years, so unless something really grabs me I'm on a "no-buy" except for the outlet store in my hometown.
Anyway, the Temptations line was my favorite and I will be so sad when my stash is gone.

It's great that you have an outlet in your hometown. I would love to have one here, but unfortunately the closest one to me is just under 100 miles away and I've never been there.

I am VERY fortunate to have an outlet store here in our small town. We have an outlet mall that has about 30 stores in it, so was real happy when they moved BBW in about 3 months ago. I try to stop in every 2 weeks or so because they get new items in weekly. About 1/4 of the time I walk out the door empty handed, but sometimes I hit the jackpot. The very first time I bought a ceramic bucket with travel sized 3 in 1's from the summer of 2007, and a full-sized TBS sunscreen and lip balm. It was $3!! My friend & I grabbed up the last two. I have been able to get Island Coconut lotions and the Cancer Vixen items were a real find in my mind.
Some things they don't mark down enough for me to buy, even at 50% off. Hopefully they'll go to 75% off.
Anyway, don't mean to tease those of you who aren't as fortunate as I am to have an outlet store so close, but a regular store is over 50 miles away. I just lately got to smell the Blushing Cherry Blossom, it's at the outlet store now. So all the new things I have to wait until I get to a bigger town, which isn't very often.

Looking at the new packaging, I don't think I like it very much. The pictures make it look kind of cheap and anonymous like stuff you find at the dollar store. Maybe it'll look better in person.

I am intrigued by Vanilla Noir, though, WVS is one of my favorites so I hope this will be a nice alternative

Thanks for the links, Megan.

I'm a bit surprised to see Vanilla Noir up on the site so early if it's not going to be in stores for another month or so, but it does sound good to me from the notes listed there. Hopefully it's heavier on the vanilla than the musk, but I look forward to reviews and trying it.

My favorite vanilla scent they've had has been FV, so if it is at all comparable to that one I'll enjoy it. I know there was a Vanilla Bean as well but I never got to try that.

BBW has a really cute snowman oil burner online now frosty. It also comes with 3 HFOs, Creamy Nutmeg, Evergreen, and Cinnamon Stick. All for $19.50, which is a great deal. I hope they have this in stores.

REALLY curious to smell Vanilla Noir. I might pop into my old store tomorrow morning in the hope that someone I know is working to see if they've gotten any in yet. Smiler

^ I'm dying to smell this too...There are a few people who know me at my local BBW now, but they haven't gotten VN in yet. Does anyone know if it will be out in the trial size minis before the full release in December?

I was hoping they would have the $1 minis out in Vanilla Noir. I would have thought they would have had them this past Monday, since it was a new floorset. idunno

I went to BBW today and saw the new packaging, and they do look better in person. I thought the bottles and the label designs looked great. Love Overall, I thought they looked very classy. Though like a lot of people on here, I still miss the country designs of the '90s! sadsmiley

BTW, I got some great deals today. I used a 20% off coupon I got in the mail, plus I got a $10 gift card for spending over $30. And they had those holiday handsoaps in the penguin and snowman bottles for 2 for $12 or 3 for $15. They are so cute, I can't wait to use them! Smiler

i talked to my old manager and she said that she was surprised that vanilla noir wasn't out in trial sizes. i'm not sure if they will be out in trial sizes before the official launch. she also told me it smelled like a henri bendel version of vanilla.

Ooh, if it smells anything like HB Vanilla Bean, I will so be in love! Love I'm sure I'll probably like it regardless, but I'm still dying to try it out for myself!

ilovebathandbody-
do you know what I noticed today? That the new limited edition aromatherapy milk & honey pillow spray smells a lot like the old sugared shortbread (or maybe I'm thinking of the mistletoe magic that came in the green sparkling bottle that same year & had a very soft, mild scent..I think my memory may be mixing up the two). I'm not seeing it so much with the body products, and it's not as apparent if you put your nose right up to the fabric, but just the way the air smells after spraying it. What a pleasant surprise!

The BBW flagship had the antibacs in Frosted Orange Cream & Fresh Evergreen out today. The Frosted Orange Cream is good. Yes It smells like an orange slushie. Fresh Evergreen is really awesome too. Love I wouldn't use it as an antibac, but I think that scent would make an excellent men's cologne.
