it's funny -- a lot of people come in asking for shimmer stuff at our store too. i've gotten a lot of people looking for the signature shimmer lotion we had during holiday.

i think, though, there's an equal amount of people that look for the hello sugar in a non-shimmer. so it really is about 50/50.

I tried this over the weekend, WAY TOO MUCH SHIMMER for me! I loved the smell when I first put it on but then I felt like I smelled like Duncan Hines cake batter afterwards, not necessarily a bad thing but probably better for my 10 year old daughter as well! She was dying for the lip gloss but alas, the mess!

I think I'm going to opt for the Avon Lemon Sugar too, I love the bath gel, I need to get some of the lotion now!

My store isn't getting this one. I've been dying to smell it.

I would say it's not better than, but I do really like it just as much as I did TD Lemon Meringue as they are very similar IMO, Fryl. The only thing from the line that I bought so far is the splash. I wish I had a lotion to go with it, but like everyone has mentioned here the lotion contains WAY too much glitter for me. I know that glitter sells, but I've never liked it very much especially on my hands. What does everyone here think of the Body Meringue? I'm considering getting that to layer with the splash, but I sometimes find those to be too messy and prefer regular lotion. I'm willing to give it a try if I hear some positive reviews though.

I cant say I like it better, but I also think they smell quite similar. If anything I may prefer Hello Sugar a tad bit more. Its so hard to say that because I do love the TD LM, but I have been out of that for so long now, its hard to remember. Fryl, I do have a TD LM scrub that you sent me , but I am hoarding this one. Fryl, I think you will really like the Hello Sugar. Do you know if your BBW has it?

I bought the body meringue. I still havent tried it yet. I definitely prefer lotions, but I liked the scent so much I just ended up getting it. Since the meringue didnt have shimmer I chose to get that. I will say it is much lighter that lotion. I figured for summer that may be better.

Finally got a chance to smell this one, at a different store, and I LOVE it!!

I would've bought it, but this store only had the Body Meringue, the Crystal Splash, and the lip gloss...and I was looking for either the lotion or the 3-in-1.

Gizmo, can you believe that I still haven't been to BBW?!
I don't know if my store carries it or not, but I think I am going to pass. I still have a lot of LM stuff, and I am trying to pare down anyway.
I have been able to get rid of a lot of my stash in the past couple of months, I am very proud of myself.

Fryl, I cant believe you havent been to BBW.

Well in the future if you change your mind, I will send you a 3-in-1. Everytime I go I buy another one. I have been stocking up on this one. Also way to go on eliminating some of your stash. Everytime I try to do that, someone comes out with some new things that I just must have.

I never used the TD but my co-worker who has it says it's very much the same as far as scent goes. I bought two of the lemon meringues and love the way it absorbs, it feels light on the skin.

Had a gift card, so I picked up the splash.

Sort of disappointed as it has no 'staying power.'

I compared it with the TD LM and while similar, the TD smells more like Lemon Pledge.


Will stick with the Avon Mark Lemon Sugar as it's more easily available.

I did see a LOT of the Hello Sugar shimmer lotion on eBay already but there was none for sale at the BBW I went to.

Tried the tester. The amount of glitter in it was 'unacceptable'.

I can't believe it took me this long to try Hello Sugar. I tried the splash, and it smells awesome. It does smell similar to Lemon Meringue, so I didn't get any, but it's a great scent.

I found the splash, 3 in 1 and meringue at the SAS. I am very pleased with the scent. However, I was not impressed at all with the body meringue. It left my hands extremely dry and itchy. There are probably no lotions available now for a reasonable price. I won't use the meringue again! ICK!

Although I never bought it, I agree on the meringue being probably the least impressive of the HS line. It never left me itchy after testing and putting some on, but I didn't like it enough to buy either. I love the scent, but only ever bought the splash and 3-in-1. I really would've liked to have a moisturizer to go along with those, but unfortunately the lotion never worked for me either since it was loaded with way too much glitter IMO.

It appears that the etailer Mad City Soaps is now carrying a Hello Sugar dupe. They carry body butters, so that might be an option for those of you who don't like the Hello Sugar moisturizers.

I also noticed there's Hello Sugar stuff still on the BBW website, albeit full price. I'm kinda surprised that they haven't sold out of it online yet.

Thanks for the info on the HS dupe, Megan! I'll have to try it some time even though I've never ordered from MCS. I use body butters more in the winter since they're usually pretty thick, but I might order sooner since I've been looking for a good moisturizer to layer with the splash for a while.

I saw that the HS stuff is still on the website, and I would get another splash if they weren't full price. Not that I don't love the scent, but I think it's a bit crazy to buy the items at full price after getting them at 75% off...especially since half the spray pumps on HS that I've tried don't work properly. I guess maybe a lot of people feel the same way if they still have quite a bit left.
