It seems like a lot of folks are disappointed with the sale, so I'm curious whether anyone else shares my enthusiasm. I feel like I got a lot of fun stuff.

I think that over the long-term, this will be a great sale. There wasn't a ton of cool stuff today, but I think it will be coming out slowly rather than all at once.

I know lots of customers are really really happy with the Bendel sale. It's flying off the shelves!

I've had a successful 1st day of the sale. I'd be even happier if some discontinued TD started to show up. But for right now, I'm fairly satiated.

Well, considering, Its the first day, and I already spent $92, and I still have 30 days to go--I think its gonna go great! ..Im gonna make that Express card explode!!

This sale is brilliant! It's only the first day and I've got almost everything I want. If I can just get a Flowering Herbs lotion and maybe a Tiramisu edt, this will be the sale against which I would measure all other Semi Annual Sales.
Also, like Janelle says, I think they're trying to space out the goodies. Why pull out all the stops the first day and leave no reason for people to keep coming back over the month?

I'm disappointed that more rare and seasonal things didn't pop up at my store, but I was very happy with some of the other sales. I always love the trial sizes going on sale because I like to try new things without shelling out big bucks for a product that might go bad before I can use it all. Also, I really love the TBS stuff, but the ridiculous prices always scared me away. It's nice to finally be able to try the stuff I've been wanting to try for a while!

Quick question for you all who've dealt with these sales before--do they roll out new stuff every week, every few days, or how does that all work? I'm just wondering when I should head back to the mall (tomorrow I'll probably go to a standalone store that's near here that I didn't make it to today to pick up a couple of things I forgot anyway). TIA for any advice, plans of attack, etc.

They usually change it every week, but some things are special and only last for a limited time, like the $3 shower gels. Those are only going to be on sale the first three days.

I still want MORE even though they didn't have everything I wanted.

I always like the after holiday semi sales better anyway. But, since they have strawberry lemonade, everlasting flower n nourisher, and bergamot coriander I'm happy! Two thumbs up from me!

If I remember correctly from the last sale, I think someone said that the best days to go were Mon. & Fri. b/c Mon. is when the weekly specials start & Fri. is when they start putting out weekend specials. But last sale, I normally went Tues. or Wed. & then again on Sat.-Sun. & found some good deals.

I had a good sale day today, mostly from the Bendel stuff. I found a bunch of home fragrance oils that I've been into lately too for 50% so ya gotta love that. I noticed the temptations oils are getting low so I grabbed 1 in TC & FD, just in case they run out. I notice sometimes the popular home fragrance oils sell out & are never to be seen again, like the fall plum I did manage to find a caramel & pumpkin though!

I've noticed from past sales that the really good deals come out the last week or 2 of the sale. At that point, I'm usually so broke, I have to make a rule, no new product unless it's 75% off Otherwise, I'll be selling my kidney too

To answer your question, they put out new stuff EVERYDAY, sometimes new stuff within the SAME day. And, different stores will have a little bit of different merchandise and sometimes a different price. For example: some stores I went to had an item on the 75% off table, then another store I went to had the same item on the 25%. Even though they should be the same, they are all different and it pays to shop around. I went to 6 stores today and there's deals to be had if you have the patience, time, and especially, MONEY. LoL

Most stores get shipment three or four times a week. The real treasures lie in number 8 boxes which are big boxes with random stuff inside. There could be discontinued TD to clinical skincare, to who knows what in a number 8 box. The more number 8 boxes, the more variety.

Remy, I am so jealous that you found a Caramel fragrance oil. Did your store have anymore?
