Weird! I know that sometimes they will pull something but normally it's replaced with a reformulated product. I know that was your staple mascara but perhaps it just wasn't selling well enough overall. Even so, it would have been nice if they'd given the customers some warning so those that did like it could stock up. Perhaps you can find some on ebay.

I ended up placing a Sephora order to take advantage of the free shipping code. I decided to get a Philosophy Bubbly 3-in-1 & a Sephora Coffee & Cream body wash.

Gizmo, I checked my stash & the Clinique mascaras I have are High Impact & Lash Doubling.

Aw sorry to hear about your Clinique mascara, Gizmo. A warning definitely would have been nice.

I did some online shopping over the weekend.
I got 2 Aveda hair brushes.

I also placed a skincarerx.com order with some e-giftcards I had.

At TJMaxx I got some very nice black and white scroll-print storage boxes.

And I ordered a dress this morning.

MAnne, sounds like you went to Sephora at just the right time! I went to the mall when one opened here but they didn't give away anything! I'm hardly ever in the right place at the right time though. SIGH

The Lash Blast is pretty good, so far I am happy with it. I ended up buying Waterproof, which was my mistake. Next time I will get just the regular formula. The waterproof is just too hard to get off at the end of the day.

I just had to purchase a new desktop pc at Circuit City. My old one, which wasn't old at all, gave up.
Rather than getting it fixed, it's easier and cheaper to just get a new one.
This will be the 3rd pc in only 4 years.
Needless to say, I am a bad mood now.

You're very welcome. I'm glad it was exactly what you were looking for. Since they're normally $14, I thought that price (even with shipping) was hard to beat! You can also set up ebay to notify you whenever someone puts one on there so that you can build your stash. They will send you an email and you can go out there and get it.

I know what you mean, Fryl. That happened to me: no warning or anything. It's like they don't even make the PCs to last anymore. The good thing is you can get PCs and laptops a lot cheaper than they used to be. But I know that doesn't help if you've lost a lot of information.

yes, i went after work, i guess they opened
at 6pm the day before, which was interesting.
they gave away a makeup bag.i was suprised
too.i was happy to see they didnt disc my
cargo makeup there.

There was nothing wrong with the hard drive, so I still have all my information. They definitely don't make pcs and laptops to last anymore.
But the only thing that I'm kind of pissed about, besides the money I had to spent, is that I don't have Windows XP anymore.

I got a HP Slimline pc. It's tiny compared to regular desktops, so it takes up much less space. So all in all, I'm happy.

I love clutches!! I think a silver clutch is a must-have.

Oh that's wonderful that you still have your info! Once you get used to Windows Vista, you'll like it. I actually love it now. I especially like the new Microsoft Office but there is a definitely learning curve. One thing I don't like about the newer computers is that they don't take the 3.5 floppy disks anymore. I have some old ones with pictures on them. I need to get a power cord for an old laptop so i can upload the pictures. What a pain!

Just saw where you bought the HP Slimline. I think those are so cute! Of course, I like the larger screens but I considered one of those smaller laptops.

Lovey, I have a 22" monitor to go with the Slimline desktop.
The large screen is a bit uncomfortable to my eyes, that why I'm almost always on my laptop (14.1").

With customizable pcs you can add the floppy disc drive but then you have to pay extra of course.

By the way, those digital photo kiosk at for instance Walgreens may still have the floppy disc drives, so you can upload your pics there and have them put it on a cd-rom for you.

Fryl, that sounds nice! The largest monitor I've had was 20". I remember it being uncomfortable when I started using it but you get used to it after a while. Then it's hard to go to the smaller screen. But I'm sure your eyes are much better than mine.

Yes, I did look into the floppy drives but that would be the only reason I use it, certainly not enough to invest in a customized PC. You can also buy the disk seperately and use it just like any other plug in for the computer. They aren't that expensive either.

Thanks for the idea about the kiosk. I'll definitely check that out! That's a good option. I still have to get the power cord for my old laptop because my son wants to use it. The power cord costs just as much as the disk so might as well get the cord!
