Since the "Recent Purchases" thread is 17 p. long now, I thought it'd be time to create a new one. It'd be probably better organized by month.

Acquired Today:
Glamour magazine (May issue)
Escada Sentiment 2.5 oz. EDP from Fragrance Net (Perfect additon to the pink & romantic theme I have going on w/ my perfumes, but I seriously think I'm going to have to put myself on perfume restriction!)

I also received a Braves merchandise catalog in the mail. I saw a t-shirt in there that was cute. But I think I'll wait till I go to the game next wk. to see if it's in stock @ the stadium.

I also received my Escada Sentiments perfume today. I placed an order at Victoria's Secret for a Calvin Klein halter bikini
CK halter bikini with a free VS beach tote

The funny thing is that the price listed for the bikini is $100 but after I placed it in my shopping bag it turned into $75. I called customer service and the friendly person told me to order it before they correct the price, so I didSmiler
I also ordered some underwear (5/$25 deal) so I received $15 off of the total purchase of $100 with the discount code APR
The bikini is on backorder till 4/10 thoughFrowner

Good idea Megan. That other thread was getting rather long.

I didn't post the other day but I got my first issue of my free 1 year subscription to Shop, etc. magazine. I really only wanted this for the good coupons, but I looked at it last night & I think I'm really going to enjoy my free year.

I wanted to use my free TBS item coupon before it expired on the 9th so I stopped by BBW & picked up AG shimmering body wash & got Better Lather Than Never body wash free. I wanted Like Butter but they didn't have any. But, that's ok cause I can get it anytime for $5.99 at the outlet.

Since I got 2 free Scentstories disks in the mail I have been wanting a player. CVS had them on sale this week for $22.99 and there was a $10 off coupon making it $12.99. They also had the Shades of Vanilla disk on clearance for $4.50 so I went ahead & got that too. With the player there is an offer for another free disk offer by mail. I'm sending it off tomorrow. It also came with a disk. So, I'll have 5 disks & all I paid (counting disks only) was $4.50!!

Also at CVS I found a eyeliner brush for $2.99. After I checked out I looked at my receipt and there was a coupon for $3 off Christophe hair care. I was about to buy the shine spray when I made my first purchase but put it back cause I'm not out yet. So, it paid to wait cause I got it FREE!!

I think I did pretty good today. On top of the good deals I got 3 "free" checks today. One for a one on one study I did today for $75 another one for an online study for $5 and still another one for $15 for a mail-in rebate.

Just placed my 1st order at Suds and Light.

I ordered 4 Dry Oil Mists, 1 oz each:

Vanille Abricot type
Ralph Lauren Cool type
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue type
Ibiza Hippie type

They were only $3.75 each so not much $$ to try a few. Smiler

Tutti,
It's all your fault.
Nono
I ordered 2 Spritzers, 2 dry oil mists, and one each of the goat's milk lotion, cream and featherlight souffle in ChocoLovers.
Love
No better time as now for retail therapy.
Have ordered the roll-ons in the past. They are great, however, the spritzers themselves and lotion are extremely powerful in Pink Sugar.

You will have to let us all know how accurate Suds and Light's other fragrances are. PS is the only one I've ordered and reordered several times.

Wait a minute, Nono That's what you get, because if you hadn't given Suds and Light such rave reviews I would have never ordered anything!

Tutti,
I am the one who needs the Chillpill
along with a Prozac smoothie.
The events of the past week will go down in the annals of history as the most scary stuff I've ever experienced in my left.
Even MORE scary than a Puke Melon mosh pit.

Jeff,

Please pass the chill pill to me too.
Chillpill

Ahhhh... Thank you.

Both of my parents have been ill. (Sorry about your mom too with her illness.) I know that it is very exhausting. I had pneumonia also and my cat got out and we couldn't find her. Thank goodness she was found after 3 weeks.(Chip implant was a lifesaver).

Well my remedy for all of this was retail therapy. And boy, I must have been really stressed.

Here is my list:

BBW American Girl Vanilla Shampoo & conditioner. I am addicted to this scent.
VS Strawberries & Champagne edt and Body butter.
VS Coconut Temptations Lotion and Splash.
American Eagle Smores Chocolate Lotion, Marshmallow Souffle, Graham Cracker Scrub.
Demeter Marshmallow cologne.
Demeter Caramel cologne.
Demeter Graham cracker cologne
Jaqua Marshmallow Cocoa butter.
Jaqua Buttercream frosting butter.
Walmart No-cal vanilla ice cream lotion.
PDC cotton candy lotion, cologne, body wash.
Jessica simpson cupcake.
Walmart tree hut coconut lime butter and spray oil. (Yum, I'm glad i found this).
Walmart got2b chocoholic cocoa body butter.
Okay, there is more, but I can't remember. (Or maybe it's better that I don't.)
This was only like the 2nd time that I have been to walmart. Nobody believes me either, since there are umpteen of them around. But I just never felt the need to go. Now, it is a different story, I can't believe all of the different varieties of body products and colognes that they have! And the prices are great too.

Thanks, Noelle. Smiler
This is Day 7 at hospice. My mom chose not to have a feeding tube, hence all of the family drama. I will spare you the grim details. She does not have an 'illness' per se. Rather she is unable to eat and has had no food since 3/16.

I used to have a black cat in Oklahoma who happened to 'walk' into my apartment with the neighbor's cat. He was a kitten and I found out he was Burmese.
Anyway, one day about a year later he got out and was missing for about two months. So I went to the animal shelter and got a striped tiger kitten. Didn't know a tiny kitten could jump on the kitchen table and drag a box of KFC off of it. I had to laugh as the box was larger than the kitten.
I was playing with the kitten when all of a sudden my missing Burmese came in! He had gotten 'hung up' in his collar and stepped through it. Yes..I did pay the vet $300 to have him patched up. And later trained him to attack my roomate who was afraid of cats.
Big Grin
That would have been more than 30 years ago.

Edward,
Don't know what to suggest you order from Suds and Light. I've only tried the Pink Sugar and that one is really a good 'clone'.
You might try something you are familiar with and like, in the lotion form.
I just like the Pink Sugar but refuse to pay the extortion prices for the real thing because the 'dupe' lasts longer.
I will only buy a 'dupe' if the original is ridiculously priced or unavailable.
I mean who in their right mind would buy a dupe of Love Spell or Brown Sugar Fig when it is so ahem..'affordable' at BBW?

I think the same thing about products that are the real deal at BBW or VS. Just get it there, unless it's something the don't carry in a particular scent like shampoo or something.

I bought a Hard Candy lip gloss from hardcandy.com and then got their Jewel palette for $5 (that's the weekly special - it ends today). I sooooo don't need any more makeup, but I have a hard time resisting pretty things . . . especially when they're on sale.
