Now that fall is approaching, it's time to bring on the vanilla. I am always searching for the quintessential vanilla scent so this should be interesting.

Question:
Chose from the following or feel free to add one (or more). You know I am all ears and want to add to my 'collection'.

Choices:
BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar
BBW Fresh Vanilla
BBW Vanilla Bean Noel
Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace
The Body Shop Vanilla

As torn as I am between VBN and Vanilla Lace, I had to vote for Vanilla Lace since VBN is more of a caramelly-vanilla scent to me and VL is more of a true vanilla scent.

I chose Fresh Vanilla. To me, sometimes VS VL and VBN can be too sweet. WVS can be too redundant. I don't know much about the Body Shop's. So to me I like the fact that Fresh Vanilla lacks the spicey note of WVS and the caramel cookie notes of VL and VBN. It's just like the cream is left in FV, so I like that. That's just my opinion, but if you want the FV, you better get a jump on it sounds like. Smiler

I'd have to go with Vanilla Bean Noel (in the body cream) - I really dislike BBWs Warm Vanilla Sugar and BBWs Fresh Vanilla (both of which I don't think smell anything remotely vanilla-like). I haven't tried VS's Vanilla Lace yet. Parfum de Coeur's Vanilla was good Yes - TBS's Vanilla is good too.

I am on a never ending quest for TRUE vanilla scents :O).
IMHO - Most of the great vanilla scents were from etailers and not actual brick and mortar stores.

Gee, I can't decide. I am definitely not voting for WVS though.
I am leaning most toward Vanilla Lace. Ordinarily, I would have voted for VBN, but for right now it's a bit too rich for me.

Most of the vanilla stuff i get is either Fresh Vanilla or WVS. I do like VS Vanilla Lace, but only in the cleansing cream b/c I don't like a lot of the yellow dyes in their products. Although not a pure vanilla scent, I also like Vanilla Spice scents from TBS & OPI Avojuice. TD Sugar Wafer is also a excellent light vanilla scent & I think I am going to have to use some in Sept.! Love

And we shouldn't forget candles either. I think YC's candles in Vanilla Caramel, Vanilla Cookie, & Vanilla Cupcake smell quite yummy!

I love love love VBN. Love I also like Vanilla Lace, WVS, FV, and the CSP vanilla fragrances. So I guess I am not a big help since I only left out one choice. Big Grin I havent tried TBS so I dont know about that.

I voted for BBW Fresh Vanilla. To me, it is creamy and yummy without being overly sweet. It also has just enought praline and musky notes to make it interesting.

WVS smells similiar in small doses, but I find that it is much more musky and powdery than FV. VBN is nice around Christmas, but it's not an everyday vanilla for me. Vanilla Lace is a bit boring to me.

I completely forgot to mention how much I love BBW's Spiced Vanilla. I wish they would bring it back.

I can't wait for the colder weather, so we can start wearing our vanilla/ bakery scents.

Fryl, if Spiced Vanilla is anything similar to TBS Vanilla Spice, then I bet it would be quite yummy!

I'm so in the mood to use vanilla scents as well. I've set up my fall/winter moisturizers on my nightstand & right now I have my OPI Avojuice Vanilla Spice lotion sitting on the lid of my 6.7 oz. TD Sugar Wafer souffle. Just looking @ those 2 together makes me want to eat a piece of cake. Love

Megan, I haven't tried TBS Vanilla Spice. I am glad that you mentioned it, because maybe they do smell similar which would be fantastic!

It's so funny, because just last night I was sniffing my TD SW, AT and Cin. Frost. souffles, wondering when I'd be able to use them again.
Thumbsup

Same here. I've been sniffing my Apple Torta lately. I wish it would get colder so I can use it. I'm sooo ready for Fall.
