I've been reading reviews on MUA & Lush for awhile & have seen lots of raves about this etailer. Cocoa Pink is a fairly new etailer; I believe it opened in the fall. It grew in popularity over Black Fri. & during the holiday season. This is a FL based etailer & I believe she's based out of the Tampa area. Most of the popularity for this etailer is based on the fact that the owner (Ilona) makes her own bases for her products & that the products themselves have pretty packaging. The most popular products seem to be skincare, haircare, & bar soaps.

The website for Cocoa Pink is: http://www.cpsoap.com
Cocoa Pink's Etsy shop is: http://cocoapink.etsy.com (This is where artwork is sold.)

Cocoa Pink will be reopening on Jan. 31 (Thurs.) & I plan on making a smallish order. Yes I signed up on the mailing list some time ago & received an e-mail a few days ago that she's including her new shampoos w/ each order made during the reopening. She's also mentioned in the News section of her website that she's rationing the premade items throughout the reopening weekend so that everyone has a chance to order some.

I'm looking forward to trying out her products & thought I'd share what I've read so far about this etailer on here.

I got my order today.

In addition to the stuff I ordered, I got the following samples as extras:
Fudge lip balm
Lemon Biscotti tart
Lemon Drops & Candied Violets scrub
Seaside Garden shampoo

The packaging presentation was A+. The items came in a little cardboard box that was stuffed w/ pink crinkly tissue paper. Plus all the stuff was wrapped in pink tissue paper. Big Grin

I'm loving the London Lemon Curd conditioner I got as well as the lemon scented extras. Yes

Here's some info for those of you who haven't ordered & might be considering placing an order. TAT is 3-4 wks., but it seems that orders w/ all premade items will be processed faster. There's no longer a $25 minimum order, but the shipping costs still remain the same. If the shipping is less than $8.95, you will be refunded (I ended up getting $3.65 refunded to me from my order).

Sorry to be a thread hog, but it was time enough for me to post a review of my products.

I've been using the Shine Sweetie conditioner for a week. It's nice & it's been working w/ my hair well. Yes But retail stuff works nice w/ my hair too.

Both of the soaps I ordered didn't work out for me. The Blonde Brownie one wasn't strongly scented enough. Crap And I felt the soaps were a little bit small for the price.

That being said, I'll consider reordering the hair products. But I think I'll only order the premade stuff.

I just have to rave for Cocoa Pink. I think almost all of my etailer dollars are now reserved for her stuff. I use the 'poo, silky free 'dish, the voluptuous body butter (ohmygosh it's my new favorite moisturizer), the soulmate (deep conditioner treatment), glissade (hair gel)...I've tried a few things I didn't like (bath bombs when she had them, lip balm, stinky moisturizer), but all in all, I have more hits than misses. The TAT has improved, too, and she now does restocks on Fridays.

Let me add my two cents...

Cocoa Pink definitely has some very lovely and unique products for grown up princesses.

Beautiful packaging.

Just wish they were a wee bit quicker. Ah well.

My 2 cents worth--

The first time she opened, before Christmas, she had some wonderful stuff. I loved the Shine Sweetie that she made at that time. But she closed, then re-opened, with a new formula. She closed, and re-opened AGAIN, with another formula. I loved the first one-it worked. New formulation?? Nope, not at all.

Then she made an agreement with another etailer for Shine Sweetie-that etailer is closing up now. I don't really think she knew what she was getting into, what with recovering from cancer, then getting hit with all kinds of custom orders. And she was a wonderful etailer that I'm gonna miss. I got my package today, so I was impressed that TAT was much shorter than I thought it'd be. I also got a sample of Squeaky shampoo in Pink Sugar Noel w/ my order.

*Scent Reviews*
Chocolate: Smells like cocoa! I'm liking it so far.
Pink Sugar Noel: I'm happy to report that this does smell more like PS & not so much like VBN.

I've been reading her news section & it seems like the next restocks will be on 8/1 & 8/20. The scrub bar will be discontinued on 8/10 & CP will be closed from 8/10-8/20.

I made a CP order last wk. & got it today. I ordered more Shine Sweeties.

*Scent Reviews*
Black Chocolate: I smell both amber & chocolate in this. It's nice, but I wonder if it's too perfumey for me. I'll try this out in the shower to see how it works.

Lemon Noel: Smells like lemon baked goods. My favorite of the order. Yes

Lime Sugar: Smells like its name; both lime & sugar notes are present. But it doesn't smell that strong to me.

The Raven: I got this as a free sample. It's a generic heady perfume smell. It's nice, but not my type.

The launch of the fall/Halloween line is on Mon. witch There's a Poe collection & a Pumpkin Mania collection, plus there will be restocks to the regular line.
