About Villainess:
Villainess is a TN based etailer that sells premade soaps, scrubs & lotions. This etailer specializes mostly in the "complex" scent category, but there are some sweet & fruity scents as well. TAT is quite fast; Brooke ships all her orders out on Tues. All orders also contain 2 soap samples. Shipping is provided by USPS. All $75+ orders have free shipping. Villainess also welcomes international customers.

Villainess items are also sold on other B&B websites; a complete list of these other websites can be viewed here. Some of these other websites have their own exclusive Villainess blends. The only one of these secondary websites I've ordered Villainess items from is The Soapbox Co. They have fast TAT (all of my orders were in my hands w/in a few days) & they also send out Villainess soap samples.

The Villainess website is: http://www.villainess.net

A list of discontinued Villainess items can be found here: Villainess Backburner

The Villainess selection @ The Soapbox Co. can be found here:

I've revamped the Villainess thread a little bit. The first post contains some basic info & I'll put my reviews here for now since they were scattered among various posts.

Villainess has emerged as the soap etailer I like because the soaps have silk in them. When I first ordered from them, I was about to give up on CP (cold processed) soaps b/c they didn't smell strong upon lather. But then I found that some of Villainess's choices do have the strong smell that I demand. The slight drawback w/ the strong scented soaps that they're really strong on cold sniff & may sometimes come across artificial at first. But they turn into something wonderful upon lather. Love

Soap Bars:
Blush: The wine scent was originally a little bit strong to me at first, but I thought it was OK & I should at least give it a chance. This one retained strong scent upon lather & is one of the ones that turns nice in the bath. Yes I don't normally like wine scents, but this one works for me.
Grenade (summer LE): This one is my favorite! Love I thought this was artificial at first, but I thought I should give it a chance. In the bath, it turns into a sweet cherry smell w/ a little hint of tart. I'm down to my last bar & will be sad when it's gone. Frowner I hope this returns next summer.
Killer Beez: I got this to see if I could find a cheaper replacement for Lush HIWTK. My bar was practically unscented. Crap This has been the only Villainess soap I've come across so far that has been bad.

Soap Samples:
Autumn Gala (Soapbox Co. exclusive, fall LE): This one smells a little bit incensey. It's a decent scent, but it's just not my type. I ended up passing this one along to someone else.
Bathory: I think this is a lovely floral scent. Yes Rose & carnation mix well. However, upon lather, it isn't as strong as I like. But the texture of the soap is fabulous. Love I probably won't order a full bar of this, but I'll definitely try to get a soap sample of this in every order.
Decadence: I thought this was a Bourbon vanilla type scent. It's a decent scent, but not exactly my type. I ended up passing this one along to someone else.
First Frost (Soapbox Co. exclusive, fall LE): This one smelled like menthol. I thought this was a decent scent, but decided not to use it since I'm sensitive to mint oils. I ended up passing this along to someone else.
Shanghaied: This one was a spicy scent. It'd probably make a good home fragrance, but I couldn't use the soap since it was too scrubby for my tastes. I ended up passing this one along to someone else.

Tarts:
Scintillating: Since I can't use mint oils when it comes to soap, I was excited I could get this in tart form. It smelled like mint gum on cold sniff. Love Upon burning, I could smell the black tea notes. It's a nice scent. The throw wasn't too overpowering & the wax was very easy to clean up out of the tart dish.

I'm not a fan of bar soaps (or etailer for that metter, I prefer just shopping in stores) but I have to say the villainess soaps are really pretty and their scents do sound intriguing. Also, I think the website is my favorite of all the etailers I've been to.

I got my order yesterday. Mail

Miss Edith is a nice scent. It's a rose scent, but it mixes nicely with the lavender & tea elements. However, I don't feel like stocking up on it majorly.

Raspberry Swirl: This is a fruity raspberry scent. But it's a little bit too light for my tastes. Also the soap doesn't look as pretty as it's pictured here. In reality, it's mostly white w/ a reddish brown layer on top.

My samples ended up being Raspberry Swirl Whipped (body cream) & Jai Mahal (spicy, woodsy, masculine scent) soap. There was also a chocolate pecan tart included. Yummy

The new packaging is up. The site now has a Wild West feel to it. According to the newsletter, summer LEs are out next month. Here's crossfingers that Grenade is one of them.
