I was suprised that noone has said anything about the Wexler skincare line that is coming out on the 23rd..I bought it, but have not started the regimin yet-I did have an associate buy it for her mother, and her Mom has gotten so many compliments on her skin since starting it, that she is amazed-So I am going to start tomorrow--New Years Resolution to have better skin, i guess! And to lose the Baby weight--! Yes

Please let us know how it works out for you!! I got a flyer for it in a bag recently, and I was considering buying it when it comes out at the introductory price.

Ciao!

I think it may be interesting, but I just cannot bring myself to spend $90 (or even $45) on little pots of skin cream that I know I'll end up shoving in a drawer. And seeing as my New Year's resolution is to spend less money, I think the Wexler line is one I'd better avoid.

I've actually been using Wexler for about 2 months now and LOVE it! I didn't get to buy the starter kit so I've been buying full size products.

So far I've got and been using:
Resurfacing Microbrasion System
Exfoliating Glyco Peel System
Skin Brightening Daily Moisturizer SPF
Universal Anti-Aging Cleanser

and I got a sample of the MMPi Skin Regenerating Serum.

My thoughts though: The cleanser doesn't 'foam' up as much as I am used too. The first time I used the regenerating serum, my whole face turned bright red and felt like it was on fire, but it never did that again!

I alternate the microbrasion and
glyco peel systems. But my skin has never felt softer!

Ok, So I never dislike anyhting, but Wexler-is HORRENDOUS. I tried it, and it's a good thing that I dodn't have work 2 days in a row, or I would have had to call out, thats how badly my skin reacted. I was swollen, burning, bumpy and miserable Red Face! I tried to track down the cause, but the ingredients are all new technology, like Niacyl..and other things-So I don't even know whats really in this stuff! I really wanted this to work, and am so dissapointed. I am trying to use seperate parts of the regimen, I think the worst part was the dermabrasion. The serum seems to be ok on its own, and the moisturizer is good. BY ITSELF. Maybe its my skins way of telling me Its not THAT BAD yet? So lay off the anti-aging stuff.. Cry

Wow, I'm so sorry about what happened! I was going to buy the Wexler set for my mom to try out, but now I don't think I will. Thanks for the warning. The only BBW thing that I have had a reaction from was the Le Couvent honey skin balm or whatever it was called, with royal jelly. It made me itch.

Thank you so much for the review! I can't even imagine what that stuff would do to my skin...it's so sensitive already! If anyone is looking for a good face cream, I reccomend the Burt's Bees Beeswax & Banana hand creme. It's very thick and moisturizing, and my skin has never had a reaction to it.

I am only using the serum, eye cream, and the spf moisturizer now- it was definitely the dermabrasion that killed my face-but- i do really like the other 3 things!

It'll probably last long enough for it to become annoying. I'm sure there's some contract between Wexler and BBW, but it'll probably be gone by 2008.

I agree that the Wexler line needs to be gone. I had no interest @ all in trying this line b/c I don't need anti-aging stuff. Everyone thinks I look 4-6 yrs. younger than I actually am. Roll Eyes

I am not interested in the Wexler line either. BBW just keeps adding and adding and frankly if that's the trend it's going to be less likely for me to want to go shop there.

Yeah, I don't get the addition of so many new lines either. BREATHE makes me downright sick to my stomach. Some of the lines seem to have nice products, but are grossly overpriced (Jaqua and C.O. Bigelow are prime examples). You see, I really wanted to try the Holiday Sweets from Christmas, but they were too much money for me. $26 for a small container of body wash and small tub of cream? I really like the lemon body cream from C.O Bigelow too, but it's too much money. I bought a small container when it was on sale during the summer sale. Even Tutti Dolci is rather expensive. I only buy things from that line when they're on sale.

Just got back from the Wexler meeting. The video was like a science lesson...After the meeting we were allowed to try the products. That lip plumper is junk on me, but my coworkers were insisting that their lips had gone numb. I tried the eye repair cream and the skin regenerating serum and I liked them both. The serum makes my skin feel softer and smoother immediately, and my undereye bags feel a tiny bit firmer. So, after using some things, the line is not complete crap, but it isn't God's gift to skincare, either.

Wendy, if you watch and see if they have that Moistureizer event in the fall like they had last year, they had the COB Lemon Body cream for $12 and that's when I got mine.

Becky, I agree-it's not God's gift to skincare!!

Since I had that freebie Wexler serum coupon, I got it, and have been using it for two days. It's ok...not great, not terrible. My skin is a lot softer and smoother and seems to have a teensy bit more "glow" to it, but the serum is a bit drying in spots. But, the price was right, so no complaints here.
