Hey guys Welcome

Ok, I'm going to be the first to admit, I am lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup before going to bed. I know, it is a MAJOR sin, but I have always been like this. I REALLY need to get out of this BAD ROUTINE and get into a habit of cleaning my face each night and doing what I can to do WHATEVER to help prevent EVERYTHING Smiler

SO SPILL Smiler

Cleansers?
Eye area - to help hid dark circles, moisturize (day/night), prevent wrinkles?
Toners - yes/no?
Moisturizer?
Scrubs?
Is there a basic kit that contains everything that you like?
Specific brands you like?
Specific brands you hate?

Anything you can suggest will help, I am open to suggestions of anykind. I will be going to Sephora in the next week or two, so I can get samples galore, plus I can get some things here at the counters from Origins, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Lancome, Prescriptives, Bobbi Brown, Clairins, Chanel, Kiehls, and some more upscale items from some boutiques in the Heights area of Little Rock.

Any and all advice is welcome, it can be anything as simple as drugstore, or as expensive as something I would probably never dream of paying for, but if it will help make my skin look good, then I am willing to fork over the money.

Plus, if I could learn to stress less that would help a lot as well Smiler

Thanks ladies and gents hug I look forward to your responses Wink

I have a pretty basic routine.

Cleanser: Clean&Clear Morning Burst facial cleanser
Toner: Burt's Bees Wild Lettuce toner
Moisturizer: Burt's Bees Beeswax and Banana hand cream (yes, for my face!) or Bigelow Lemon Hand Treatment for lighter moisture.
Wrinkle treatment: I just got the Superfill wrinkle treatment.

As far as masks and scrubs go, the best I've ever used were the Pure Simplicity Almond scrub and Pumpkin mask.

Love from Becky

My routine is pretty basic.

Cleanser: Basis Cleaner Clean liquid or Lush Sweet Japanese Girl bar.

Scrub: haven't found one I love yet, but SJG has some scrubiness to it, and I also have been using Garnier Nutritioniste scrub a couple of times a week.

Moisturizer: Clean & Clear Morning Glow oil-free mositurizer for face, plus Garnier Nutritioniste anti-fatigue cream for eyes.

I also have some Ponds facial wipes that I use at night to take off my eye makeup, or just to "freshen up". I love those things!!

Ciao!

In the morning, I use CO Bigelow Lemon Hand Treatment under my eyes.

I use Clinique Foaming Mousse Cleanser before I go to bed at night & that's pretty much it.

Thankfully, I've never had problem skin. In my twenties I pretty much used nothing (I washed my face with whatever soap was in the shower) - except I started using sunblock in the mornings in my mid-20s. Now that I'm getting older, I'm using a lot more products in the (probably unfounded) hope that they will make a difference in keeping wrinkles at bay. I pretty much use whatever looks interesting to me. rofl I just make sure that my eye creams & night creams have antioxidants or other ingredients that have shown some actual promise. The only thing I'm picky about is the sunscreen that I put on my face in the mornings. I use high-PPD European sunscreens if I'm going to be outside all day, or else I'll use a more matte sunblock that still has *okay* (but not stellar) protection (such as DHC White or Shiseido spf 55).

My routine is very simple. I used Proactiv cleanser, toner and moisturizer at night. In the mornings I use Cetaphil cleanser and a Biotherm moisturizer.

BBW Rawks, you reminded me -- I forgot about sunblock!

My regular moisturizer has SPF15 in it, which is ok for most days, when the only sun I get it the 2 minute walk from my car to the office in the morning and afternoon.

But if I'm going to be outside for more that a couple of minutes, I use additional sunscreen on top of my moisturizer. I love the one I have by Neutrogena. It's "Ultra Sheer" and the texture is so light and smooth, it's good for the face and body. I have a picture of it in the "What's in your bag" thread.

Ciao!

I use that Neutrogena one sometimes, too. It's got great protection for an American sunblock. Yes

Being that I'm an Avon rep I use mostly Avon stuff but not all. I have combo/oily skin with the TOM breakout pimple.

Here's my routine:

In the a.m. shower: Avon Anew 2 in 1 cleanser or BBW Tomato scrub 2 times a week (this has been discontinued & I'm about to run out, looking for a backup plan. I'm trying out Avon Solutions Sweet Finish scrub but yep, it was discontinued too!)

After shower: Avon True Porefection Toner, Anew Alternative Max moisturizer & Avon Solutions eye cream for wrinkles. Also, Avon Skin Optimizer to help my foundation last longer.

Evening: Avon True Porefection Toner, BBW Night Nourisher (another one discontinued, but I stocked up enough to last for about 2 years...lol) and Avon Solutions eye cream.

I'm looking for something now to help with skin redness to add to my regimen. I seem to be blotchy lately making my makeup appear uneven.

Hi Carrie, Wave

Well I don't think I want to mention my age Wink , but I still have combo/oily skin and I never thought I would at this age, plus I live in a hot, humid climate, which doesn't help.

Here is what I use:

A.M.- African black soap from Nasabb
Olay complete all day moisture cream spf15
Neutrogena on the spot blemish cream 2.5 BP OR
Dan's regimen 2.5% BP gel*

P.M.- Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin (love this) Yes
I sometimes use Paula's choice 1% BHA gel
I sometimes use Alpha Hydrox 12% AHA souffle
I sometimes use skinsimple eye priority cream
I sometimes use Burts bees royal jelly eye cream

Facial scrubs- I use these occationally- when I think of it-

Avon Clearskin cleansing scrub
Queen Helene Mint julep scrub

I also would like to say that Paula's choice products are really good, and I have used and liked all forms of her AHA and BHA.

Also, for the acne prone- *Dan's regimen on Acne.org works very well. He has a 2.5% BP gel that comes in a huge tube and is wonderful- I use it a lot.
