Proactiv saved my face! I have used it for the past 3 years. Nowadays my face is completely cleared up so I only use it 2-3 times a week.

How long has your son been using it for? When I first tried it I didn't notice any difference and wanted to give up on it but I stuck with it and noticed results in about 3 months, so maybe he just needs to use it a bit longer idunno

I haven't tried very many other products but if you don't want to keep trying products on his face, maybe bring him to a dermatologist.

I hope I helped a little Smiler

My neighbour uses Proactiv, and her skin is so much clearer. All her blemishes seem to have dissapeared. I don't know how long she's been using it but it's clearly worked out for her.

I gave my daughter the kit for Christmas 05. She's been using it ever since, and it has done a great job of clearing up her blemishes and the dark spots on her face. My son is 14 and as soon as he started breaking out, we got him proactiv as well. I don't remember how long it took (he doesn't use it as regularly as my daughter), but it did help rid him of his acne.

Definitely stay with it a while longer. I hope it works for your son!

Hi Natilee,

I actually used Proactiv back about seven years ago when I had to get off the pill because of one of the meds I was put on to help to prevent my migraines. I never had a problem with acne growing up but I was always on the pill because of terrible cramps.

I would keep with the Proactiv. It really helped. I didn't think that it would do a thing at first, and mine wan't terrible, but I was use to not having any kind of blemish on my skin, so to me it was a major deal.

I have stopped using it over the past several years since my hormones have settled down, but I still have the lotion that I use before I put on my makeup everyday.

Good luck, and I hope it will work. If not, find a good Dermatologist. But I would try to stick with this for as long as you can. It will cost you less in the long runSmiler

Actually I have to be the only sour one of the bunch but my girlfriends was using proactive for a bout half a year and she didn't get any result, I don't know if her skin is just different and proactive doesn't do it for her, or if she just got a bad batch but she cringes every time she sees a proactive commercial.
