Well, not to be outdone by Pat Wexler (she is such a hottie)..The Body Shop has launched a new skin care line called 'Moisture White'.
Love

I intend on trying this line. All of The Body Shop's skin care products, some of them boring' some outstanding...have one thing in common...
THEY WORK.
Coffee

Love the Tea Tree, Kinetin, Vit E and C...core skin care.

From what I've read on Moisture White. It is very similar to, if not identical, to the 'WHITE' lines made by Chanel, Clinique, The Body Shop EU, Shiseido, and others for sale in Asian countries. Where hyper pigmentation (sun spots, discolouration, uneven skin tone) are an issue.

Of course these products will not make a person of colour turn white (like Michael/LaToya Jackson..they might be the SAME person since they are never shown together on stage at the same time).

Anyway, I checked out the ingredients and there are indeed a lot of ingredients which will take care of business in the arena of sun spots and uneven skin tone which affects a lot of ALL colours of people.

It is rather pricey compared to Wexler and the 'starter kit' is about $20 more. Of course Moisture White deals with an entirely different matter.

Of course I will buy the starter kit with my LYB card. And see what it does.

I LOVE the Alpha Hydrox souffle which Fryl so kindly introduced. Alpha Hydrox has their own website also. Of course, we can thank Becky for turning us on to Lychee Butter. Another 'staple item'. BWW should give Becky a commission for her heroic act..or at least stock in the company.
Wink

I shall report to you all on these products as soon as I can get my grubby hands on them. No on line order for me. {{{{{{Sound of speeding Jeep to mall}}}}}.

I can't wait for your review Jeff. I agree w/you on the fact that TBS skin care stuff is quite boring but it does its job. Also, TBS skin care is one of the few lines that does not irritate my skin. I still love my Proactive though Smiler

ILiveatBBW,

I purchased the Bright Skin Starter Kit yesterday for $60 at The Body Shop.
Coffee

Have not tried the products yet. I have smelled 'em however. There is no 'perfumey' smell like Lancome has. They are 'body shop-ish', rather boring and neutral but innocuous.

The starter kit contains the full size Brightening Moisture Serum 1.5 oz (Retail $36), Moisture White Cleansing Power 1.76 oz, and Moisture White Toning Essence 5.0 oz

The kit is an $80 value for $60 with an additional 10% off with the Love Your Body Card. I get to choose a FREE $25 gift when I go into the store again.

Active ingredients are Licorice extract and Vitamin C. These ingredients are especially designed and developed in Japan for hyper pigmentation and sun spots.

There are also additional Day and Night moisturizers in the line. However, you can probably use any moisturizer you might have on hand. I would recommend using a 'plain' moisturizer with this line in lieu of alpha hydrox or anything of that nature. You don't want to have a chemical reaction.

The manager I happen to know. Very nice gal. She told me TBS will not be closing at our mall and will be moving to Level 5. And that lots of new stuff will be coming out.

Also she said to just put by LYB card number on my cell phone and that way if I forgot it, I'd have it on hand and they could process my discount sans card.

She gave me a sample of TBS new Cassis Rose EDT to try. I can smell the rose which is 'rose like' but could not detect the cassis (black currant). Nothing to write home about. A typical Body Shop smell. But not as bad as that HORRID Tea Rose.
puke

I currently alternate cleansers because unlike you ladies, I have to SHAVE my face after 'warshing' it. Am alternating between the Clinique Liquid Face Soap Mild and Jafra's Revitalizing Pearl Cleanser (a powder you put a nickel size amount of in your palm, lather with water and massage into your face).

Also use The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Wash on evenings after I work..for obvious reasons.

I wonder if this will really help with sunspots. I have tried so many different things & nothing seems to really work. I religiously put on sunscreen too & make sure they have titanium dioxide or zinc oxide so I get a good block. I think I just pick up color easily. I have asian skin & probably got too much sun during those 'ban du soleil' days Frowner Never did lay out in the sun that much but I guess the sun exposure does wear on your skin. Luckily though, not too many wrinkles still but I'm sure they are a comin'.... whattodo

Anyone knows the difference between sunspots and brown spot? I notice a lot of asian women get brown spot on their cheek, and from what I've been reading, I think a cream with hydroquinone will fade the brown spot away.

Thanks LonelyStar, I'm not sure if they are sunspots or brown spots but that is what I have! I've tried a pretty strong hydroquinine from the dermatologist and it didn't really do much. I think they sell it over the counter too, the esoterica stuff, it is lighter in strength but has the hydroquinine. I tried it for about a month & it didn't make much of a difference so I stopped. Maybe I just needed to use it longer...anyways, had all these rugrats inbetween Rotflol so not much time to take care of myself until very recently. I may have to go back to the dermatologist again...just have to make the time!

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work on your skin. I heard you have to use it for 2 or 3 months, and of course put on a good sunscreen every day (otherwise you'll get brown spot again).
