I need help finding a new skin care line for myself. Here's the deal. I've been using AcneFree (similar to ProActive) for about a year. In this same year I've miscarried twice and now am 99.8% sure I'm pregnant. My husband and I are having this argument that he thinks it could be a cause as to why I've miscarried. I'm very anal when I'm trying to get pregnant. I don't drink alcohol, consume caffeine, use artifical sweetners, etc. Anyways, there is nothing on the package/bottles that says "Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing" So, I assumed it was safe. My husband went to the website and it states that it has not been tested and consult your doctor. OMG!

AcneFree was and has been the only product to keep my skin free and clear. I have oily t-zone skin that breaks out. So I need some help/suggestions as to what I should buy. I have tried Mary Kay, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Oil of Olay, Bath and Body Works, Basis and more. I thought I would ask all of you in-the-know people so I wouldn't have to go buy everything off the shelves!

Thanks so much in advance!

Congrats! Cheerleader

What about COBigelow? Or I have T-zone oily skin that has break-out tendancies too & I swear by Pure Simplicity Tomato scrub, Neutragena toner, & Rice moisturizer during the day & night nourisher at nite. Seems to keep my break-out to a minimum. Usually the "mother nature calls" monthly pimple. Good luck & I'm sure you'll find something that works for you & the baby.

My first thought would be to use the All Clear line from BeautiControl, I have several friends who have used those products and their acne has DRASTICALLY improved! HOwever, I don't know if it's "safe for pregnancy"

but I recently went to a party from a company called Arbonne, supposedly their stuff is all organic/natural and they might have an acne skincare line, I'm sure if you google them you can find their website. Burts Bees is nice, too, but their lemon poppyseed scrub totally tore up my face. wtf3

anyway, CONGRATS!!! and good luck!!!!!! and stay cool...I know how miserable it is to be pregnant in this heat.....bleah!

I use Proactive and I absolutely love it. It really does work. However, I don't know if it's safe for pregnancy or not. I would assume that it is since so many people use it but I really don't know idunno

Fryl28, thanks for the congrats! Smiler

Solace, thanks for info on some products. I've been invited to an Arbonne party before, but didn't go. Big Grin

Jade, thanks for the recommendation. Smiler

I went to my doctor yesterday and he said that AcneFree, the skin care line I have been using, is okay to use. I asked him about salicylic acid and he said that I should not use that at all. Nono So now my husband can't get on my case for using AcneFree. All he needed was to hear the doctor's opinion. Silly man! Crazy

Again, thanks every one for your recommendations, I truly appreciate it! grouphug

I would go with Lush skincare. If you have issues with acne my recommendations would be Herbalism face scrub/wash (maybe Coalface or Fresh Farmacy - they are all face wash for oily skins but one might be better for your particular needs.) Followed by Tea Tree toner and Enzmion moisturizer Sweet Japanese Girl is also good for clogged pores/blackheads.
