I've done some thinking that I have a lot of skincare items, but I don't have a face mask. Does anyone on here use face masks regularly? If so, which kinds & do they really work that much?
TIA. |

I love using masks, it's a nice way to pamper yourself.
I mainly use the clay masks that are supposed to be cleansing. They always make my skin feel much softer, cleaner and revitalized afterwards. I have a few different brands: Pure Simplicity Neem (works well at cleansing). Pure Simplicity Pumpkin (doesn't do anything for me, but smells nice, not a clay mask though). Oil of Olay Deep Cleanins Clay mask (does a very good job too). Queen Helene Mint Julep mask (does a nice job, but I don't think it's as great as others do). I also have tons of samples, so I can't really name all of them. MAnne, do you mean the True Blue Spa All in a Clay's Work? I have that one too, but have not used it yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

MAnne, do you mean the St. Ives apricot mask? If so, that one's started to get my attn. I'm thinking of checking it out the next time I go to Target.
I may check out the Neem mask during the next Semi-Annual Sale. I think I remember seeing some PS face masks back in Jan. Fryl, All In Clay's Work is discontinued, am I correct? |

Megan, All in a Clay's Work is discontinued, sadly.
I had a St.Ives mask years ago, it was a peel-off kind. That was really fun to use, but it didn't really do anything for me. I'm interested in trying their current peel-off one. I forgot to mention earlier that I have a Freeman Pineapple Enzyme mask. It smells nice and it makes my skin very smooth (it contains AHAs). The Neem masque is really good, but if you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend it because it does sting a bit. HTH. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

I have used lots of different masks over the years. I am glad you brought this up, I havent used a mask in ages. I agree with Fryl, clay masks are personally my favorite.
I have used PS Pumpkin, it smells really good. Didnt do a whole bunch for my skin, maybe made it a bit smoother. In high school I used to use the peel-off kind, probably only because they were fun. I have tried a couple peels before too. Since my skin is sensitive it does really well with Oxygen peels. I learned that the hard way before. I tried a normal peel and I had breakout city. It was way to rough for my skin. |

Fryl, yes thats the one, i forgey stuff easily when trying to remember, lol. i have to say, its really good in a pinch. the first time i used it, i noticed a huge pimple starting, i figured it would take a week for it to go away, but i put a little on it and it dried it up the day after, and i use it once a week as well. its too bad they dcoded it. |

Thanks for the info, Fryl.
Guess I'm gonna have to scratch the Neem mask off my list of possibilities. |

I still have 2 All in A Clay's Work left in my stash. I was sad to see it be discontinued. Why? It seems like all the good stuff they get rid of and all the gross stuff they keep!

I got a St. Ives Apricot scrub from Target earlier this week. There were 3 different formulas. One of them had salicylic acid & another had AHAs, so I got the 3rd kind. I think it's called "invigorating". Anyway, I'm going to be using it as a mask. It is quite scrubby in texture, so I think I'm going to try using it once a wk. I'll report back w/ any results I find.

I went through my stash and found out that I also have a LCDM Honey & Shea masque. I'll try it out this weekend, and let you all know if it's any good.

I've had excellent results with The Body Shop's Vit E 'Sink In' Moisture Mask. You can leave it on over night and it just..sinks in and hydrates.
Used to use Origins Drink Up, however, Origins prices have climbed up too high. |
