actually queen helene mint julep mask works well for me. And it's cheap. I also like bbw neem mask. A lot of people like the tweezerman pore tool. It squeezes them out without you having to touch or infect other pores

I have the Tweezerman pore tool, all I can say is be very cautious. I was a bit overzealous when I first used it... and ended up with small red blotches & bruises all over my face where I had pressed too hard and for too long. They weren't there for just a few hours either... it took days & days for the spots to go away. It's a somewhat addicting tool (ok, very addicting!), just be careful with it - unlike me! It does work well to get the blockages out of your pores.

I had a hard time finding one to purchase, but finally found one at Sally Beauty Supply. They're around $10 or $12.

That Tweezerman pore tool sounds interesting, but I'd probably overdo it.

On a similarly related note, I've heard that the PS Tomato face mask gets rid of a lot of facial impurities. I've seen this @ BBW a few times, but really haven't gotten the chance to try it yet. How gritty is it? And does the tomato scent linger around?

Guys, I think the Queen Helene Mask, or the Tomato Scrub might be 'safer' than the machine you all are referring to.

Dunno if any of you ever used the 'Epi Lady' for removing hair. But that machine was so evil that Joan Rivers made jokes about it as it was allegedly painful and 'attacked her'.

There are many products out there to remove the contents of pores. But nothing will shrink them or make them disappear short of a medical or surgical procedure.

A friend of mine spent $$$$ for a 'facial' at Jurlique. And they squeezed her pores out with fingers. I forget to ask if gloves were used. So much for high tech, right?
I mean come on, when I worked for Dr Hauschka at least we used a 'curette' to clean out the debris.

The tomato scrub is medium gritty, more gritty than the pomegranate one, i feel like the grains are a bit bigger. overall, though, it's rather gentle, plus it foams up really nice, something I've noticed a lot of scrubs don't do. The tomato fragrance doesn't linger, it's barely there at all, it sort of smells like fresh greens or something. I really like it, but I have enough facial products...

I use my tomato scrub every other day, and I never have skin issues. But, about the pores-Everyone who uses Neem, has amazing results. It just detoxes and pulls all the gunk out. I feel that it is the only thing Ive ever seen that reduces the size, it sorta draws the skin tighter after it pulls out the dirt. It smells acrid, and it can have a slight burning feeling, but it makes a huge difference. Worth Trying.

Origins makes a 'Clear Improvment' Mask which contains activated charcoal and clears the pores out very well. It retails for about $18.50. They also have one called "Out of Trouble' for breakout prone skin. I've never used them but sold many while working at Origins. Customers loved 'em. They also have a body wash called "Skin Diver' which clears up breakouts on the body.

Does anyone know the 'status' of BBW's Pure Simplicity skin care line? I see all of the items on the website, but was under the impression it was being discontinued.
It is an excellent product line and the original skin care products were developed by the same chemist from Estee Lauder who did the Perfect World stuff.

The tomato, almond and neem stuff from PS is great. I sometimes use the 'old fashioned' Mudd (the one that hardens and don't put it on and talk on the phone cuz you will not be able to move your face)..or the Queen Helene masks. These older products have been around since the 1950s and seem to work.

There is also a 'machine' which 'zaps' zits which sounds downright dangerous. Origins Spot Remover works extremely well on the occasional 'pimple' as does the application of cheap Ultra Brite toothpaste. You can use Visine when a 'blemish' is forming which alleviates redness.

Ah, yes the tomatoe scrub. I actually received a small sample of one a few months ago from someone on ebay when I won their auction. That scrub did work well! Smiler

I do have Neem but don't really like it because I feel a strong burning sensation on my face when I use it. I also think it really smells bad too! Frowner

Looks like I'll just have to go to BBW and by myself a full-size bottle of the Tomatoe scrub! Wink

I'm sure the Neem would have worked for me, but I took it back because I couldn't stand the burning either. And you're right... the smell is nasty.

I have the Neem mask too. I can tolerate the stinging and the smell but I don't know how well it works though. I have only used it once so far and didn't see great result because I had used another mask a day or two before I tried it out. I shall try again soon and report the result.

I tried the Neem mask again and it skin does feel thorougly cleansed. I don't know about reducing the size of your pores significantly, but it does an awesome job at unclogging them.
