I saw a topic for movies and music but no tv! What's everybody watching? I just thought, since my beloved AI is over, it'd be nice to hear what everyone is interested in. Right now the only thing I've got my eye on is The Simple Life on E! this year. Four seasons in and those two are the SAME, perhaps a bit more "out there" than you'd expect. At least, Nicole was from what I gleaned from last week's episode. I'm toying with the idea of watching tonight with some friends and making it a guilty pleasure night. So far, the only thing that I'm interested in watching on TV is the "Real World/Road Rules Challenge" on MTV. Occasionally, I'll end up watching some of those dating shows on MTV ("Next", "Parental Control") if I'm otherwise bored. I also watch Braves games (or more like parts of them) if I have time.

Since I don't have cable or satelite and rely on broadcast, there's really nothing on besides summer reruns. That's fine by me, though, since I didn't get to watch much tv this spring. The Simpsons is getting ready to come on, which I'll be watching/listening to while I'm on my computer.

I have caught a few of the Road Rules/Real World Challenges. I watched it alot last year, but I am missing so many episodes this time around. This one pits new people against the regulars right? I can't stand Coral!

We have like 4 tv's but I mostly watch the one in the den, (where the pc is, of course) and my H watches in here to, so alot of the time he has it on the golf channel.

I am waiting for "Big Brother" to start, but my H isn't, because it's on like 3 times a week. My friends and family call it my BB schedule and know not to interrupt me during the time that it's on.

My H should be happy about BB because I am not shopping during that time!

I pretty much stop watching tv in the summer, especially because, like Becky, I don't get very many channels. Summer programming just sucks. I use it as a great time to explore lots of new books.

There isn't much to watch in the summer. All the good shows aren't gonna be back until the fall but I managed to find a couple of shows to keep myself entertained:

Canada's Next Top Model - This SUCKS! It's nothing compared to America's Next Top Model. We should really stop making our own versions of American TV shows.

So You Think You Can Dance - It's like American Idol, but it's dancing not singing. Not bad actually.

I must admit, I'm starting to get into watching "Project Runway" more. I saw a few episodes of the 1st season & liked it, but didn't keep up w/ the 2nd season. So far, the episodes I've seen from the 3rd season have been when they run repeats during the wk. on Bravo. I seriously think the punk rock guy w/ the tattoo on his neck (I forget his name right now) should go home next. All the clothes I've seen him design look hideous!

As far as the fall TV season goes, I'll be watching "Desperate Housewives" (of course). ABC has this show based on a Latin American telenovela called "Ugly Betty". It'll be on Thurs. nights @ 8 PM starting 9/28. America Ferrera is in this one & I must say that I almost didn't recognize her in the promo photos. So I am going to have to check this one out.

Also, I'll be watching "Real World/Road World Challenge: The Duel" on MTV. That'll be premiering in Oct. I like the challenges, but I can't watch "The Real World" anymore. Well, I'd watch it if they actually had a season in ATL. But I don't know if that'd be exciting or scary.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Project Runway. I could talk for days about this show, but it's late and I have to be back at work in 8 hours, so I'll save it for later.

I think that (unfortunately) my beloved Uli is going home next. I think final 3 will be Michael, Jeffrey, and Laura. I hope Michael wins. He's so fantastic!! Everything he does is gold. Jeffrey is a jerk but a very talented designer (more on why later). Laura is talented, but a bit one-note. She will, however, be extremely successful after the show is over, even if she doesn't win.

Must ... stop myself ... from talking about this ... all night!

I loveee Project Runway too. I want Laura or Micheal to win. Jeffrey is rude but his clothes are nice, nothing I would wear but hes a good designer.

I am really hoping that Michael wins!! he is so great.. and humble.. he really thinks about he's designs.. I like Uli, but all of hers do look the same a bit!!

episode i didnt care for, now i just watch episodes of frasier and or star trek tng.

I think Uli needs to go home next. She always makes those same dresses just with different fabric.

I have to agree with Kels. I think Uli is going to be "Auf'ed" next week.

I think Uli will be massively successful if she were to open boutiques in a few select locations, but she doesn't exactly have a huge range.

Laura is good, and I think she will be set for the rest of her life selling to Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, and the like (which I love).

Jeffrey I think will really shine in the final showdown at Fashion Week. He is kind of a jerk, but he has major talent as a designer. And I think he will really show that when he can design his own line, with no rules. He will be a major contender once he has total freedom.

Michael, however, is who I am putting my money on. He is so immensely talented, and has great taste. I love his designs and his point of view.

I watched the premiere of "Ugly Betty" tonight. Since this is the 1st episode, it's too early to say whether this will be a new addiction or not. But it's interesting enough to where I have to watch the 2nd episode.

And I watched "Project Runway" last night. Only 3 more episodes to go! But I must say that I'm surprised that someone didn't get eliminated last night. I really wanted Jeffrey to get eliminated. He's a Travis Barker lookalike who designs clothes that look like they're meant for Avril Lavigne wannabes. I thought the fabric on Michael's dress was gorgeous, but a little bit too revealing. I kept thinking that he should've put the crossover effect where he put the keyhole.
