Lovey,

What a brilliant ideaSmiler

My Avon rep lives 800 miles away! In Buffalo NY. I can place orders over AOL IM and she only charges for tax and not shopping since the products come direct from Avon...

And I order a LOT of stuff.

Local Avon reps here either are really not into selling or customer service. It seems like they are more into selling the 'opportunity' rather than the products.

Between Avon Naturals, Avon and Mark there are a lot of good products out there which are always on special.

The Naturals Vanilla is a ringer for VS Vanilla LaceSmiler

Of course we all love BBW and VS, but it's good to know there are alternatives.

And you can't beat Avon for coming out with innovative scents and products at reasonable prices.

Mark Pure and Tahitian Holiday are perfect examples of Avon being in the right place at the right time.

Thanks Jeff! I need a few "Jeffs" on my team. Yes Smiler

You're so right about Naturals Vanilla, it DOES smell like Vanilla Lace. Just as Naturals Peach smells just like Peach Nectar to me.

I also agree that it is nice to have alternatives. Even though I can make my own products, I enjoy shopping at all of the bath and beauty stores. It is wonderful to have all the choices that we do. Yes

What I love about Avon is the frequency of new products and the excellent sales! I'm always excited to get a new catalog because they always keep it fresh! I also think it is awesome that you can shop online, get it shipped within 1-2 business days direct to you, and shipped for FREE most of the time! Eeker Who does that??

Wow Fryl, NEVER?? Eeker Well hopefully you'll give it a try. Don't let the prices fool you! You'll be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the products. You can browse a catalog online, and it's a win win situation because Avon has a 100% guarantee. Just return anything you aren't happy with! And Jeff and I can be your resident experts. Thumbsup Between us, we can probably answer any and all questions. Yes

Fryl,

Avon Naturals has a wonder Strawberry & Guava lotion, body spray and shower gel which is currently on sale. It's much nicer than what The Body Shop offers. And no plastic scent!

If you like designer fragrances, Avon has Ungaro,
Christian LaCroix and Cynthia Rowley all retailing around $35 each...which is less than half the price of a comparable bottle at department stores or Sephora.

If you like Bobbi Brown Beach or Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragrances which sell in excess of $45 at department stores...you will LOVE Avon's new Tahitian Holiday which is on special for $9.99 for the EDT.

MARK, an Avon line created for younger people, has some outstanding fragrances and creams.

MARK Pure = Philosophy Pure Grace

MARK Lemon Sugar = BBW Hello Sugar

MARK Jewel = A wonderful creamy nutmeg scent

MARK Chocolate Orchid = Better than BBW Pure Simplicity Cocoa or Origins Cocoa Therapy

As for Avon Skin Care, it's of excellent quality.

The SAME chemist who invented Lancome's high end skin care cream defected to Avon to create the Anew Ultimate line..which is more than 50% less cost wise than Lancome...minus all of the perfume which is in Lancome products.

Avon still makes a lot of 'classic' scents such as Timeless which is very elegant.

I'm lovin Naturals Strawberry & Guava. I didn't try it for a while because I thought it was going to be artificial smelling. However, I was pleasantly surprised. And with the sale (3/$10), you really can't beat it!

Derek Jeter Driven Black is selling here like crazy! The edt is normally $26, but in Camp 15, you can get the Aftershave and Body wash for $2 more!! Banana I bought the whole set for my husband. Women have given this EDT for men high marks. Yes The notes are:

Top Notes
Sicilian Blood Orange

Middle Notes
Italian Bergamot, Calabrian Mandarin and Saffron

Base Notes
White Cedar, Haitian Vetiver and Tamboti Wood

Driven Black is my best seller in that category right now. However there is a new fragrance coming soon called U by Ungaro. It's available for men and women. I think U by Ungaro will be just as popular when it is released. They are both very sexy fragrances.

Driven Black $26
U by Ungaro for Her $34
U by Ungaro for Him $30

I've actually been debating about getting this one for a while, but have been holding back for the same reason you were, lovey. So thanks to you and Jeff's raves, now I'll have to cave and give it a try. It does sound good and it's true that for the price it is right now you really can't go wrong.

Has anyone tried the Naturals Apricot & Sunflower? I've only seen it on the site but it sounds interesting. I'd love to know whether or not it's heavier on the sunflower than apricot.

Marissa,

The Apricot & Sunflower fragrance is a good blend.
You will like it.

The only Naturals scent I don't like is Cucumber Melon.

You might check out the new Avon Tahitian Holiday body mist also. It's very refreshing and moisturizing.

Marissa, I smell more apricot than sunflower. For me it's apricot with a twist. Smiler But like you said, for the price (3/$10), it's the perfect time to give the Naturals line a try!

Jeff mentioned he doesn't like the Cucumber and Melon, however it is very true to the smell we're familiar with so if you're a fan of this scent, I think you'll like it.

I actually haven't smelled anything from the Naturals line I didn't like, but I do have my favorites. Yes I even like the Honey & Lemon which has been discontinued but if you're a fan of this scent, you might be able to get some in this campaign's outlet pamphlet. There's also a 24oz Honey bubble bath that's a great buy!

Jeff, I am enjoying the whole Tahitian Holiday line. Love I also love the Turquoise Quad. There is a beautiful combination of colors. I had someone with fair skin and dark skin order them and the colors looked great on both skin tones.

Lovey,

Strange you should mention the Tahitian Holiday color.

A friend emailed me and said I had to help her out.

She loves Bobbi Brown 'Beach' but can't afford it.

I told her to RUN to her nearest Avon Rep and order some Tahitian Holiday stuff.

She did and LOVES everything..the fragrance and the colors and they compliment her tan so well.

A lot of my friends cannot afford Bare Minerals so I am matching them up with Avon's version. They are very happy campers.

Jeff,

What does the Tahitian Holiday EDT smell like? I think the bottle is pretty, but am curious about the scent. I do not have an Avon Rep to go to, so I would be ordering online. I just thought I'd check with you first! Thanks! Smiler

Meg,

Tahitian Holiday smells very similar to Bobbi Brown Beach and Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. But costs $9.99 on special versus $45 or $50!

It's a pleasant combination of light florals and coconut. Everything blends together seamlessly
so the coconut is very subtle.

I think you will LOVE it.

Imagine an expensive perfume layered over suntan oil.
Love

Our own board member Lovey, who is an Avon Rep, would be happy to take your order I am sure.

That way your can have your own personal advisor.

Thanks Jeff! That sounds really good! And like you said, $9.99 isn't bad at all. I'll probably cave in and just buy it since that's a really good deal. Razzer

Meg,

The description for Tahitian Holiday is:

An enchanting tropical floral sparkling with Tahitian tiare flower and exotic island musk. Enriched with Monoi Oil. 1.7 fl. oz.

One thing I love about any website is reviews. If you go to my Avon website, you can go to the product you're interested in and any reviews written will be there for you to get unbiased opinions about the products. Right now Tahitian Holiday is rated 4.7 out of 5. Customers are loving it! I really don't think you can go wrong with this one. At the intro price, it is a definite winner!! Be sure to check out the rest of the collection as well. I'm a big fan of the lotion and the quad. I decided to order my own since I've been using up my testers. The clutch is cute too, and only $5.99 with any purchase. I think the natural straw weave it is so cute and it screams tropics!! Once I receive it, I'll be ready to book my cruise. LOL

As Jeff said, I am a rep and you are more than welcome to browse my website listed below to check out reviews and products. If you need help placing an order, I'd be happy to help you if you're comfortable with that. Smiler And don't forget to use the code above to get free shipping! Clap

Jeff, have you tried U by Ungaro yet??

Jeff,

You mentioned the mineral makeup. I am a huge fan of BareMinerals. However, it is a stretch for a lot of budgets. Avon has introduced a mineral line that consists of Foundation, Blush, and Eyeshadow. I'm all stocked up on foundation but I do wear Avon's Smooth Mineral Eyeshadow. It's on sale for $4.99 right now and I stocked up. I honestly can't tell the difference between Avon's version and higher end mineral eyeshadows.

A product I highly recommend no matter what makeup you use is the Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion. I am a contact wearer and I have to be very careful with eye makeup removers. I love this brand because it doesn't irritate my eyes and it takes very little product to get the job done. It also moisturizes that ultra sensitive area around your eyes so it's like killing two birds with one stone! Smiler Best of all it is a fraction of the cost of other removers and well worth a try! I have tried many removers and I would never use anything else. One bottle lasts me about 6 months with daily use! It is a staple product for me and one to stock up on because it's on sale this campaign for $.99! Eeker

Allow me to rave for Avon as well!

The products I've been using recently are the FootWorks Watermelon line. How fun are they? I love the little watermelon blow up tub that I purchased as well. I have the full Coconut set coming soon.

I also only use Avon Daring Curves Waterproof mascara. That is the best mascara I have ever used. Others may disagree, but I keep that one in stock in my makeup case at all times.

Anan, I totally agree about the Footworks Watermelon. It smells so good and the foot tub is too cute! I also like the fact that it's deflatable so it doesn't take up space like a typical foot tub. I'm hooked on those Gel Toe Pads!!

Also since I love Coconut, I have the whole Footworks line in Tropical Coconut. In Camp 15 only, you can get 6 products in that scent:

2 Foot Lotions
2 Sea Salt Foot Scrubs
1 Cooling Foot Spray
1 Tropical Coconut Foot File

These products are valued at $28.95 but you can get all of them for $10! That is a really great deal! I also highly recommend the Theraputic Cracked Heel Relief Cream. Not only does it moisturize for 24 hours, it heals them and fights infection with lidocaine. Users give this product 4.9 out of 5.

Lovey,

Do you know how long the Tahitian Holiday will be on sale? I'm still debating if I should get it or not, but if I end up getting it I don't want to miss the sale!

Meg, Tahitian Holiday will be full price ($15) in the next campaign (16). If you want it at the sale price, I would advise you to order it before Tuesday because they normally update the websites on Tues or Wed.
