I saw X-Men 3 on Saturday. I'm not a big X-Men fan (I've only seem half of the sceond movie, none of the first), but this one was entertaining.
I want to see The Omen, Pirates of the Carribbean, and Nacho Libre.

Ciao!

I went to see The Da Vinci Code a few days ago, it was OK. It wasn't a bad movie, but after watching it, I decided it should have been a renter, not something good enough to watch in the theater. Maybe it was b/c I haven't read the book, so I was confused at some parts. The movie was also really long. I can never sit still in the theaters.

Pirates of the Caribbean was pure eye candy. Love

I can't wait for the second. I'll actually pay full price to see this one.

Someone else I know said the DaVinci Code sucked. I read some reviews on it, and they were TERRIBLE. I think only 23% of reviews on rottentomatoes.com were positive.

I thought it was time to update this thread. I've seen "Cars" & "The Devil Wears Prada" since the last time I've posted. "Cars" was OK. I was just interested in seeing it since Owen Wilson was voicing the lead character, so I thought it might be funny. My thoughts on "The Devil Wears Prada" are in the respective thread pertaining to it.

I'm hoping that I can see "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" this weekend. I think I'm starting to like Uma Thurman somewhat. Also, getting to look @ Luke Wilson for approx. 2 hrs. isn't a bad deal. Love

We went to see The Devil Wears Prada last Saturday, and You, Me & Dupree last night.

IMO - You, Me & Dupree was a disappointment.

Boy, you've seen a LOT!! You saw A Scanner Darkly already? I didn't know it was out. What did you think of it? I want to see it. Was it worth the price of admission? Also, I didn't see Clerks 2 on your "coming up" list. what lol

I have to agree with you jade177. The movie was very confusing and I actually read the book. There were some parts of the movie, near the end that I don't think "meshed" with what was in the book. DH and I went to see it together and he fell asleep. Now this may have been because we saw it when our newborn was only 2 weeks old (mimi a.k.a. grandmother was babysitting) = lack of sleep, but I think it was because if you didn't read the book, you could very easily NOT know what the heck was going on! But it was still nice for us to get out.....we don't get to often because nearest family is 2 hours away and you can't leave your babies with just anyone! Too many weirdos! Speechless

I've said it before and I'll say it again: They should have made Angels & Demons into a movie instead of The Da Vinci Code.
Da Vinci was a great book, but just an ok movie, since most of the "action" in that story goes on inside Robert Langdon's head.
Angels & Demons has many more "movie" elements, including, but not limited to, people jumping out of a helicoptor moments before it explodes and others burning to death in a church.

I saw "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" this afternoon. popcorn2 I wish I had superpowers to get back @ some of my exes, but I don't think I'd go to the same extremes that she did. The bit w/ the shark was hilarious however. I thought the movie was only OK, but I'll probably get it on DVD b/c I can always use brain candy.

I wanted to see "Click" & "The Breakup" this summer, but didn't get around to that. I guess I'll have to wait till they're available as rentals.

I'm starting to figure out what movies I want to see for the remainder of the yr. I'm tending to go for movies that are historically based or have a darker edge to them w/ one exception.

My List:
"The Black Dahlia"
"Marie Antoinette"
"Saw 3"
"Bobby"
"Dreamgirls"

Megan, I CANNOT WAIT to see Marie Antionette!!! I saw a trailer for it over a year ago and was dying to see it then. So much time went by with no news that I thought they had scrapped the project, until I saw another trailer recently.
I think its going to be quite good.

Ciao!

Janelle, if you're excited about "Marie Antoinette", then you should look at the Sept. issue of Vogue. It has Kirsten Dunst on the cover dressed up in character. The issue is over 700 p. though, so if you're not interested in buying it, you can browse thru it @ the bookstore. Anyway, there's an article about Marie Antoinette's life & a photo spread w/ Kirsten Dunst dressed in character & in fashions inspired by that time period. I'm guessing this is going to be a movie that's highly touted for fashion purposes. I'm kind of a history nerd, so I'm also going to see it b/c I'm interested in what historical angle this movie is going to take.

I saw World Trade Center last night. It was pretty good - not as emotional as I was expecting, and the second half was about 200 times better than the first half.

I'm out of the loop where movies are concerned lately...the last movie I saw was "The DaVinci Code" - which should say something LOL.

I am planning on seeing:
Marie Antoinette
Shrek 3
The Black Dahlia
Saw III
Little Miss Sunshine
Barnyard: The Original Party Animals

I'll probably have the time to see all this by the end of 2007 Rotflol.
