I also saw Monsters vs. Aliens this past weekend. It was definitely very cute. Yes

One thing I've noticed is that it looks like all the CGI animated releases for this year will be in 3D. While I think the technology is nice, I wonder if the studios are overdoing that trend. That $3.50 surcharge is going to annoy moviegoers after awhile. Crap

Oh i watched Lake View Terrace with my husband too! Wow that was a crazy movie. And , yes i know, i may not be 'up with it', and i might be 'behind the times' but i finally watched Twilight this weekend!- i loved it. But then again i either love horrors or those cheesy high school movies. i usually dont give in to those tween drama, go nuts, sit in a line for 13 hours kinds of movies, but i did and i really liked it.

You're welcome, Gizmo! Smiler Pineapple Express is definitely on my all time favorite comedies list. It started off a little slow but once it got rolling, it was hilarious from then on. Yes I'll be curious to know how you like it when you get around to watching it. Smiler

I saw Sunshine Cleaning this past weekend & really enjoyed it. I hate to compare it to that other Sunshine movie, but I'd say if you liked Little Miss Sunshine, you should give it a try. They're same in that they have quirky families facing serious issues, but both very different in terms of storyline. I thought Alan Arkin's grandfather character was funny & it was nice to see Amy Adams playing somewhat of a different type of character.

I've also been renting a lot of Spanish language movies lately. Yes I'm making up for a 3 yr. period where I didn't see any Spanish language movies at all.

I just watched Seven Pounds tonight and let me tell you it was the saddest movie I've seen since the notebook. So be warned if you watch this one to grab a box of tissues.

Gizmo, I agree w/ you on both Tropic Thunder (blah!) & Night At The Museum.

Normally I'm not a big fan of Disney direct to DVD animated movies, but I ended up watching Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time this weekend. While it can't exactly compare to the original, this movie had some good voice actors. The storyline for this one was also good (albeit slightly dark).
