Right now it's charging up. yawning

iliveatbbw, it's really not that expensive once you guy it. You can take your CDs and transfer them to the iTunes software that comes with the iPod. It cost about $157 (this is the smaller version nano which holds abour 240 songs).

whatMy only baffling thing right now is not knowing HOW to get the songs from the computer to the iPod. The manual says to "follow the easy on-screen directions" but so far I haven't seen any directions. If someone has one of these things and could maybe guide me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Rotflol

I figure the dude thought I was having attachment issues. It nearly killed me to hand over $157 for it. byecry But then, I can go to BBW and spend that much in a month sometimes and it's no biggie. Woohoo

The new iPods just came out a few days ago.
Love

I gave my 60 GIG Video to one of my nephews along with a 'mini' which I received as a gift.

Too complicated.
Curse

Am keeping my 'Shuffle' b/c there is no screen, you can download ramdom stuff from your library on it and you're good to go.

The 'new' 1 GIG Shuffles are coming out next month. They are about the size of a match book, come with their own dock and are made of aluminum.
Love

For $79, they are a good deal. Just remember to unclip it from your clothes before throwing them in the wash.
Rotflol

You can take a new 'Shuffle' for a test drive by visting the Apple website.
Love

All you have to do is put all your music in itunes (either by importing cds or by purchasing music) then you just connect your ipod to your computer throught usb port and that's it. it's really simple.

Glad you got a blue shuffle, Souffle Lady!

I recently upgraded to a 8GB Nano which holds 2000 songs...but managed to get 3000 songs on itSmiler

The majority of my music is on albums or 78s (maybe some of you know what 78s are LOL).

So I found this interesting USB turntable which allows you to burn records on a CD and transfer them to iTunes.

Apple has lowered the prices of iPods since 2006. And during the NEW Depression the prices for computers have dropped dramatically.

I finally ditched my quirky Mac Book in October when it crashed, sold it to a tekkie and got a good deal on an HP.

So..what brand MP3 players do you guys have now?

I haven't graduated to the ipod yet. I have an Insignia 4gb mp3 player. I've had it for a few years now and it still works great! Smiler I have about 300 songs on it but I mostly use it for audiobooks these days as I said before. Smiler

Ok so, I posted that I got an iPod Touch for Mother's day and let me just say this thing is AMAZING!! Love I can't stop playing with it and adding apps to it. There are so many applications you can put on it to personalize it for your own lifestyle. I have about 4 pages of apps and I only paid for two and they were 99 cents each. A lot of them are fun and games but there are also some really useful ones as well like hurricane tracking and such. Living in FL, I think I will be using that one a lot! I put a movie on it just to see how it looked and it is so sharp. Of course, I won't be sitting around looking at that little screen often but it is neat.

So for those of you that can add apps to your ipod, what are your favorites? Right now, I love Flightplan, Ping Pong, and Pandora.

Lovey, congrats on getting an ipod touch!!
Clap

Those apps are addictive aren't they.
Big Grin

My favourite app is Flight Control. It's a such a cool game.

I only have 2 pages of apps, but I paid almost $15. I got Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit and those were $4.99 each, I believe. I also got ISpeak Spanish and French ($1.99 each).

Thanks Fryl, it's my newest addiction.

Rotflol I meant Flight Control! That was my first purchase. Smiler How many planes have you managed to land? My high number is 56. Not many, I get so flustered when there are so many planes! LOL I have about 5 pages of apps but most of them are freebies. Right now my favorite game is Amateur Surgeon. That game is soo addictive!! And my son and I enjoy playing against each other in Tap Tap Revenge 2, and I like Sky Burger. I also enjoy watching the NBA playoff interviews the next day. I have a couple of translators too, my spanish one is iTranslate. So far it's great!

As you can see, I am making good use of it (when my son lets me play with it). Smiler I connect it to the FM transmitter in the car and listen to books. Right now it's Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Since the movie is getting ready to come out, I thought I'd "read" the book. Yes Now my husband wants an iPhone. Rotflol
