I just wanted to say I've missed this place and all the wonderful people here on the boards. I haven't been on here as much because of the new house and job drama. But the good news is that I FINALLY have internet service at my house! Yeah!

I agree, ILoveB&B. It's been really quiet around here these days. I miss the regulars that haven't posted in a long time.

I know! The board isn't nearly as lively as it used to be. I guess everyone is so busy with other things that they just don't have time for it anymore. As for me, I don't post very much because I don't have much to add! I hardly ever buy products anymore because I either use what I have or make my own. I'm sure with the economy the way it is, others are buying less and using up their stash too!

I remember when this place was thriving back in 2005 and 2006. I'm not sure why it's so dead here now, but it's sad. I ended up posting a lot less in mid-2007 because of money trouble, job trouble, internet trouble, and a move. Then this place seemed dead when I came back in 2008.

I remember when some of us were slightly annoyed when we were getting loads and loads of new posters in 2006 because some of then turned out to be swaplifters. I wish we could have more action around here, but of course I don't miss the swaplifters!

Hi, yeah I haven't been posting much either...
Too busy preparing for a baby (due late October) and distracted with other stuff...
I've been really disillusioned with BBW lately also. When they eliminated a lot of their "extra" lines like Tutti Dolci and Le Couvent des Minimes is when I started losing interest.
I mostly buy from etailers now, especially Mad City Soaps, and IoE sometimes. Mostly buying only basics like hand soaps and some of the aromatherapy shower gels at BBW now.

It's wonderful to hear some good news for a change.

Rough summer for me with various 'issues'.

Only made it into BBW once....what a disappointment.

Had to cancel my eBay and PayPal accounts. Apparently people have been hacking into PayPal, getting the last 4 digits of the card number and creating accounts for themselves.

This happened to several of my friends also.

So...I guess if I want to order anything in the future from an eTailer, I will have to phone my order in...if they accept phone orders.

Jeff, sorry to hear that the hackers have targeted you! I had that happen to my debit card and since it's linked to my main account, that wasn't good! But I got it worked out eventually and I hope you did too.

So what has everyone been up to lately?

still have a job,(isnt the best, but for now)
i have moved from mass to new hampshire. the one nice thing is there is no sales tax, however if you do own a home in the state you will pay a lot, good thing i only rent.my place is bigger than before, sans the tenant above me making noises to which i cannot describe on here, to people smoking in the building, but overall, close to work.still searching for a special someone, i got rid of another loser a couple of months ago, but still looking for a daddy donor.otherwise plugging along.

Hang in there, ilove!! Hopefully the job will come as will a good man worthy of you! At least you had sense enough to get rid of the loser. Some women would rather have a piece of man than no man at all. That's one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

Jeff, some e-tailers accept money orders. I used to order from www.coconuthutbeauty.com all the time, and the owner always gladly accepted money orders. Just read the FAQ section on the website or e-mail the owner to ask if money orders and/or checks are acceptable forms of payment.

im taking up baking as a hobby, so that im looking forward to.

ILove, sorry to hear about your man troubles. But at least you are keeping up w/ your interests.

As for me, I'm in the process of applying for jobs to get some extra $. And I've given serious contemplation to going back to school & getting another degree.

Regarding my personal life, I had a really bad breakup back in Feb. 2008. I haven't gotten seriously involved w/ anyone since then. I definitely miss being in a relationship, but I've got to focus on my interests & goals for now. Maybe I'll try to get back into dating once things have settled a bit.
