Megan, I'm surprised that you're having trouble finding an open grocery store. These days, in this area, it seems like everything is open but schools and libraries on holidays. what I do agree, though, it is quite tedious when you need something badly and everything is closed. I'm not that old, but I remember everything being closed when I was a kid. It must have only been recently that all these stores here decided to stay open every day of the year.

I get my edible items from Publix & Target, both of which happen to be closed today. Crap The only places near me that I can think of that were open were Walgreens & Wal-Mart. I've found that Walgreens doesn't have much of a selection of food other than snack stuff, and that's not what I needed, so that wouldn't work. And it doesn't matter whether or not Wal-Mart is open; I boycott that store. ohlord

And the malls were closed today too. Crap I also remember a time when the stores would close for New Year's & 4th of July, but in this day & age, it's not feasible. The only holidays that I notice that the stores close for are Thanksgiving & Christmas. And that's fine by me; the stores need some time off to prepare for their Black Fri. & after holiday promotions. But Easter doesn't feel the same as Thanksgiving or Christmas to me, so I think it would be nice if more stores were open. Yes

For once, I'm actually looking forward to it being Mon. wow

One of my pet peeves: people who call really late at night. I'm not someone who goes to sleep early, but that doesn't mean I feel like chatting on the phone when it's after 11pm! Banging

Sorry for the little rant there! Bonk

Price stickers that don't remove easily and leave a sticky residue. Curse
I found a very neat product though that solved my problems, it's called Goo Gone.
I wish I had found it sooner, it would have spared me a lot of grief.Big Grin

I agree w/ Fryl about price stickers that can't be easily removed. Is this Goo Gone stuff available at Target or do I have to go to an office supply store?

And I agree w/ Meg about people who call really late. I got some drunken phone calls from my ex this weekend. Crap That reminds me exactly why I dumped him.

Megan, I got it at the hardware store. I did some googling and according to a couple of people it can be found at Target as well. Thumbsup

I used it a couple of days ago to get the labels off some decant bottles I got at WalMart. After applying it, and waiting a couple of minutes, they peeled right off.
Without Goo Gone, they were really hard to get off, and it took a very long time too.

Just an update about my Art History class:

I studied my butt off for the final and got an A on it! I ended up with a B+ in the class (not great, but I'll take it after all the crap I went through for it!) and am still graduating Magna Cum Laude!! Woot

I don't mean to toot my own horn here, I'm just really proud that I did so well on that final!

P.S. I LOVE Goo-Gone!!! It's the best! Smiler

This is insignificant, but has always bothered me. When at a store, primarily grocery stores it has always bothered me when the person in front of you doesnt put the divider after their groceries. I am trying to reach over their groceries and around them so I can reach it and start loading mine on the register. It just seems rude to me. I know its not major, I just think its common courtesy to do that. Smiler

Gizmo, it doesn't really bother me when people don't use the divider after their groceries, but I always do it as a courtesy. It just seems like the polite thing to do. Some people just don't know how it's supposed to be.Roll EyesBig Grin

What does bother me, however, is when people seem to be in such a hurry that they pull out with their car right in front of you, but then go very slowly afterwards. It bothers me especially when there's no car behind me, and they should have just waited for me to pass.Roll Eyes

I've got a good one! People who take forever at the toll! I was just going through the tunnel, waiting to pay my toll, and the person in front of me is just taking forever probably asking for directions. Sorry if you're lost, but that's not the time or place to ask! You are holding up the rest of the traffic waiting to pay. I just don't get people sometimes! Razzer

OMG, I totally agree. An old lady the other day spent 5 minuted counting her change (at least it felt like 5 min since I was in a rush to get to work. I felt like honking my horn. I always make sure I have the cash in my hand before I pull up to the window.
