My latest pet peeve:
-people who are too competitive -people who are too perky -people who go on and on and on about something that has already past and the hype is over

quote: people who are too perky
- Jade I certainly hear you on this one! Nothing is worse than someone who is way too perky (and you know it is completely fake.) My latest pet peeve: Strangers who think they can come up to my children and touch them! For example, "oh aren't you so cute" and pinch their cheeks or touch their heads. jeez! Back the heck up and get away from my child...right now!!!

Tracey, you are right when you say perky people are fake. My pet peeve is one specific person who is overly perky and now that I think about it, I do think she is putting on a show. And shame on the strangers for touching your kids. That is very unacceptable

Oy, Becky, don't you remember my wedding stress woes? If I could do it all over again, I probably would just get married at the courthouse and spend every last penny on the honeymoon. But then again ... planning a wedding *can* be really fun.

I got married at the courthouse, and had some juvenile delinquent comment loudly how she wouldn't be caught dead getting married at the courthouse. I remember thinking "How funny, because I'd rather be getting married here than be in detention!" Can you name a person as a pet peeve?! If so, David Caruso's character from CSI: Miami!

Is David Caruso = Horatio Cane?? If so, I do find his character to be annoying! Why is he always looking down at the ground when he's talking!!!

Yep, that's him! He always has to repeat everything, too.

"CSI: Miami" in general just annoys me. It seems that on these crime dramas that they always have to have a token blonde chick.
As far as wedding stuff, I'd rather get married in a civil ceremony rather than having a big extravaganza. Either that, or I'd want to get married in Vegas.

wedding woes,...oh i remember them well even though it has been a long time. Words of advice Becky: remember it is YOUR day (well and hubby's too)...do what you want! 2nd: My photo album that we spent a gibillion dollars on...I have looked at it maybe 7 times in 9 years, what a waste of money...jeez. 3rd: spent most of the $ on the honeymoon! That is what you will remember most anyway Good luck planning!

I got married at the courthouse as well and spent the money on a nice honeymoon in the Bahamas. I never wanted the big wedding because I've seen too many people spend money they didn't have only to be divorced before they finish paying for the wedding! It's about what's important to you and what you can afford to spend. Just remember, the most important thing about the wedding IMO is that you marry the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. The commitment is the same regardless of how much you spend on the wedding.

Thanks for the sympathy and advice ladies. Myself and a coworker are both in the same boat where we're both just starting to think about weddings, and I cannot believe how expensive everything is! Luckily, I'm not fussed about having a big traditional wedding.
Love from Becky
