Since the other thread grew into a monster, we decided to make a new Pet Peeve thread!

My latest one:
Getting cookie crumbs on your hands and then mindlessly wiping your hands on your black pants.

This is so annoying that I have to post it twice. Angel It's still mail-in rebates for me!!
It's a waste of postage, sometimes.

My peeves of late:
1. Menstrual cramps. Isn't it enough that I'm bloated and exhausted? Does it really have to hurt, too? Gonnagetit

2. Dry, flaky, irritated skin. No matter how much or what kind of lotion/cream/balm/whatever I put on, my skin is still RIDICULOUSLY dry. Gah!! Banghead

Love from Becky

I also agree w/ the irritated skin & menstrual cramps thing. I think that's the plight of Team Redhead. Frowner

I've been told that my issues w/ menstrual cramps & skin irritation should go away after I have a baby. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm at that point in my life yet. Crap

I have dry and flaky skin too, no matter how much I moisturize. Argh!! Curse
I remedy it with my Alpha Hydrox souffle, it gets rid of the flakes instantly, but it can sting and burn so I wouldn't recommend it to you, Becky and Megan.

I hope you find a solution though, Team Redhead!

What's been going on is that my skin decided to break out like crazy back in Apr. I know, happy 24th bday to me. Roll Eyes And my skin was looking a little dry in some areas too. I decided that I needed to moisturize as well as cleanse. Finally, at the beginning of May, I decided to go back on the Clinique 3 step skincare. They told me to wash my face/do skincare regimen twice a day, which is what I've been doing. Right now, I think my skin is purging. Crap I think after I've used the stuff for a month, I just might go to using the stuff only at night.

Hey Megan,My skin got worse as I got older,I tried everything, the only thing that helped my skin was Proactiv. And for the cramps, mine got worse after I had my children,so don't worry you don't have to count on that one Wink.

Proactiv was the only product that helped my skin too!

As for cramps, I have a girlfriend that also said she started getting really painful ones after having her daughter.

Ok so basiclly you have to go through Months of sickness and pain and let's not forget the labor pain JUST to get rid of monthly cramps?? Roll Eyes
And it's obviously not even working for everybody..
Sorry that just caught my attention. lol

I struggle with cramps too but luckily I only have them the first day and maybe a little on the second too.
But I have even worst cramps during my ovulation so I deal with those cramps twice a month. Curse

And speaking of Pet Peeves, I can't stand men that always say stuff like "are you on your period again" every time a woman is in a bad mood farku
Or even worse, when a man says stuff like "common don't act like a baby, it can't be that bad, let's go out" while I'm laying in the bed trying to rest and get rid of my cramps Gonnagetit
And my man is actually like that.. Roll Eyes

Nbgs, that's unacceptable that your man isn't all that sympathetic to you during that time of the month. Crap

I also hate the assumption that women are bitches during that time of the month too. It's not a happy time of month for me, but I act more like a baby than a bitch. The only people I act bitchy towards during that time of the month are my parental units. But they bring it on themselves b/c I feel like I'm in the Spanish Inquisition whenever I'm around them. Not to mention that when I was in HS, they made me go to school whenever I had menstrual cramps so bad that I wanted to stay home. Frowner

I'm getting to think that we talk about time of the month issues so much that maybe we should start a gynecological issues thread. rofl

Rotflol

Megan, I think we should warn the guys so they'll know not to read that thread. Rotflol

NbgsFL, men are the biggest babies, and they have no idea what they're talking about.
I think we need a "talk to the hand" emoticon. Rotflol

Rotflol

I think the Pill helps. I'm on it and I don't get any cramps. Once in a while i'll get mild ones on the first or second day but nothing unbearable.

I was on BCP for about 4 yrs. & my cramps were much milder than they were before or currently. Yes I had to get off BCP a couple of yrs. ago b/c it was messing up w/ my hormones. Before, I couldn't cry unless somebody seriously stressed me out. Now, I can cry like a soap opera actress. Cry

I had a major pet peeve happen to me last week. (Not saying thank you)

I was at BBW/White Barn, and I had an extra coupon that was going to expire the next day, so I wanted to give it to someone in the store who could benefit from it. When I was at the register checking out, there was a lady behind me with her teenage daughter, and they had a pretty full shopping bag, so I knew they would qualify for the coupon... and it was for a free box of Wallflower refills or a starter unit w/ $10 purchase.

I turned around and said here you go, I have an extra coupon you're welcome to use since it expires tomorrow. She snatched it out of my hand, looked at it and said Hmmmmm! "Jane" (just making up a name, I don't remember the name she said), run over and get us a box of these Wallflowers.

She never said thank you, or anything of the sort. Just snatched it out of my hand, said hmmmm, and sent her daughter running to get a box of Wallflowers. No acknowledgment whatsoever... I was shocked! My husband was with me though, and he said You're welcome!!!!!!! as we were leaving the register.

Big Grin

omg TDJ, what a rude person Curse I would have been so mad!! grrr

I agree, men are really the biggest babys, you should see how my man is when he has a tiny little flu Roll Eyes Rotflol
The Pill didn't help my cramps, I even gained weight once I started taking it, I guess that one had to much hormons or whatever in it and I also got very emotional Rotflol
Had to stop taking it and got a different one which works fine now but still doesnt help my cramps
