Has anyone started watching American Idol yet? I am really happy this has started, since the writers strike there isnt too many new shows/episodes left of the other shows I watch. These first few weeks are normally pretty funny of American Idol. I just started a new thread, I noticed the other one was pretty long

I am happy that American Idols has started again. I didn't see the first two shows, but I saw some clips of it.
There are some weird people out there.

i watched most of it, i like watching it every year.hopefully the person who will win this year
will be able to have the same success as carrie, kelly and chris.

American Idol was really funny last night. That guy with the really long fingernails was hilarious!!! Even though his fingernails were grossing me out There are definitely some strange people out there.

Thanks for posting in this thread, Gizmo. It reminded me to change the channel. I missed more than half of the show, but hopefully I didn't miss anything too funny.

OMG that guy from last night was so weird!
His nails and hair grossed me out too.
I couldn't stop laughing at the music they were playing during his interview.

That guy was the highlight of the show for me! The scary part was he was dead serious. I really do believe he got trapped in the wrong body! He was more feminine that most women I know!

I am glad I wasnt the only one who found him funny. I agree, I think thats why I found him so funny he was dead serious

On a side note I ended up watching that new game show on after American Idol tonight, Moment of Truth. That was also funny. I must say $500,000 wouldnt be enough for me to be on that show. Some of those questions were crazy

Yeah, I believe some stuff should remain a secret!

My problem with American Idol is all the stupid acts that they put on in the beginning of the season. When it finally gets whittled down the the really talented ones, I usually forget to tune in.
I would prefer if they only let moderately talented people and up audition for the judges, but I know I'm in the minority on that.

I guess I'm getting "old" or something. American Idol just isn't grabbing me this year. I don't know....I guess I'll enjoy it more once they get into the Hollywood segments. I don't care for the audtions much.

For those who watch and like AI, do you like the changes they've made to the second round of auditions?
I really liked the part were they'd form groups of three to perform in the past seasons.

I agree Fryl I wasnt a fan of how they did it either. I also really liked the group thing.

With that being said, I think they have some really good people this year. I have read that everyone who makes it this year, is actually good. So I guess that means no Sanjayas this year.

I was pretty happy with the top 24 picks I did feel pretty bad for the one kid who is homeless and lives in his car, he took it pretty hard when he didnt make it.

I watched American Idol tonite. I think alot of the guys are really good. I cant really remember any names yet, but I think alot the "rockers" are really good.

I also watched some of tonight's episode, but didn't pay close enough attention to have a favourite. I think the Australian guy is going to have a lot of fans.

Gaaah!! I missed the first hour of today's show, but from what I've seen the girls are way better than the boys. Anyone else agree with me?

Fryl, you definitely saw the better half The first half only had 1 or 2 good ones. I do think the girls overall were better. My favorite guys were the Australian and the guy that played the guitar. So far, I think we are Sanjaya free this season.

I pretty much agreed with the 4 that left last night I think with each group there was probably 1 or 2 that was worse, but I wasnt upset with who ended up leaving.

Darn, I missed parts of tonight's show again.


I wish I had seen the girl who did the Carly Simon song (You're So Vain). I love that song.
