Was so pleased to see Rex in some clips tonight. That one with Bree, Rex, and George talking in the pharmacy cracked me up!

Anyway, WOW. I was not disappointed tonight at all - I think the finale was this season's best episode. I'll try and post my thoughts on the stories in the easiest way I can - by characters.

Susan: FINALLY her and Mike get back together! They were driving me nuts. I do love Karl, though, he's such a scamp. WTF is up with Orson the crazy dentist? My dad says he remembers him from a few months ago in an episode with Dierdre's father - apparently he worked for him or something. I honestly thought it was Karl mowing Mike down in the street in the last act. Poor Mike. And poor Susan, I knew she was going to get her heart broken again, I was just suprised at how. And how funny was Susan's crazy perm in the flashback to where she met Bree?

Lynette: So the execs of the show did decide to give Tom another child. Glad to know he's not a cheating asshole, but he still should've told Lynette the truth a few episodes ago when she confronted him. Nora or whatever the one-night-stand's name was is partcularly crazy. She also acts like a spoiled teenager. I feel bad for her kid, and am also suprised that Tom would sleep with that. Lynette 'got my vote' when she put that bitch in her place at the diner. I certainly hope that Tom and Lynette make it - they are my favorite couple in the show.

Gabrielle: I do sort of feel bad for her, even though she did the same thing to Carlos last year. But it is slightly different - I mean, Xiao Mei IS carrying her and Carlos' baby. And Gabby is totally right to be a complete bitch to her now. What an interesting thrid season story line this sets up for the Solis family.

Bree: Go Bree! Not only did she break out of the horrid mental institution (WTF was wrong with that janitor?!?), she got her daughter back. At least something in her life didn't completely turn to crap. I'm quite scared at what crazy dentist Orson wants with her, though. I also hope Andrew pops back up. He is a sociopath, but he's got his mom all wrong. She didn't stop loving him because he's gay, it was because he betrayed her and hurt her too badly the last time. I'd really love for Bree's life to normalize in season three since she had so much drama this year.

The Youngs: So Zach is going to start his life as a rich kid and have his dad rot in prison...hmm. Don't quite know what to make of that.

The Applewhites: I was shocked to learn that Matthew really killed Melanie Foster. As much as I won't miss the Applewhites, their story was really interesting tonight. I'm glad to know that Betty and Caleb can live a quiet life in peace now without having to worry.

Can't wait for season three!!

I enjoyed watching the show last night, too. It was fun seeing their interpretations of the "younger" characters. I liked Lynnette's long hair.

I think Karl is a hottie. Even though he's a schmuck.

I was so sad when it went off last night knowing I'll have to wait months for it to return!

Last night's episode was really good, they wrapped up a lot of loose ends and opened a lot of doors for next season.

So, who thinks Mike will just be badly injured, or do you all think he is going to die from his injuries?

I don't know what to think about Orson...they knew each other way back from the prison dental work apparently, but I still don't have a clue why he'd want to mow him down like that.

I was soooo sad for Susan last night, I thought something was finally going to work out right for her.

When Lynette followed Tom in last week's episode, and saw him through the window... now knowing that he was there to see his child with her, it still doesn't look that way to me. They were both very dressed up, drinking wine, and following each other upstairs. It's not like the child is a baby and they're going up to see her in her crib. I don't know, for some reason I just don't think it's going to be as clear cut as it seems. We'll see though!

The DVD for the 2nd season is coming out on Aug. 29. And the 1st episode for the 3rd season will air on Sept. 24.

I've been reading some of the spoiler websites. They kinda hint at what's going on, but don't reveal all the details. I won't say everything that I've been reading, but I've heard that instead of this season starting off slow, it will pick up in the middle of a lot of drama going on. It's also rumored that Andrew will return in the first few episodes, so that should be interesting.

Sept. 24 - I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So who watched the season premiere tonight? I thought it was a little slow moving in places, but obviously it'll pick up as the season moves on. But I was totally b/c of Bree's scene @ the dr.'s office. I think she's the only redhead portrayed in movies & TV to suffer a case of sexual repression. I'm also very interested in finding out more about Ian. But what I'll really be interested in this season is when Andrew returns. And during this whole episode, I was wondering where Danielle was. It seemed like she just kinda disappeared.

I watched it! Megan, I totally agree about Danielle. I love how Xiao Mei and Gabrielle are complete bitches to each other.
The only thing I didn't enjoy about the episode was the group scene with all four women in the restaraunt. The conversation and jokes seemed forced.
Mike better come out of that coma and get Susan before Ian grabs ahold of her. Plus, he needs to wake up and kill Orson before he f's Bree's life up even more that it was last season. I'm guessing the writer's will be writing Marcia Cross's pregnancy into Bree's character, which would be interesting.
Also love that Laurie Metcalf (aka Jackie from "Roseanne") is the new person. Hopefully she'll be around for a good part of the season.

Marcia Cross looks like she hasn't had a drop of sunlight in years and years (which is probably why she looks so unwrinkled for her age).

I am concerned with protecting my skin, but I love the outdoors too much to avoid sunlight. I *do* wear sunscreen, but it only blocks SOME of the UV rays, of course.

I agree that Marcia Cross looks gorgeous! It's women like her that make me proud to be a pale redhead. I hope I look like her when I'm 40. Right now, I'm 23 & most people think I look like I'm 16-18.

I have a little bit of commentary about the most recent episode. First of all, I don't want to see Jesse Metcalfe's face on this show ever again. Danielle finally showed up, but I was a little bit surprised & disturbed that she was acting like such a little self-absorbed bitch. However, I am happy to see that Andrew's back. I can't say that I care for his new haircut all that much though. And I'm not surprised at all by his new hobby.

lol Megan, why do you hate Jesse Metcalfe so? I am very excited that Mike woke up from his coma so soon in the season, but you just KNOW there's going to be some dramatic love triangle. I really dislike Susan's "new" guy Owen (that's his name, right?). He's pushy and whiny and boring.
Now that Andrew's back it should cause some interesting plots for Bree's storyline. I'm thinking it'll come down to Andrew killing Orson in the finale to protect Bree. Danielle is a self-absorbed bitch, which I think is hilarious. However, she is right - she had a rough year too, what with her crazy boyfriend and all.
Edie Britt and her strange nephew need to go away. She stopped being an interesting character in the first season.

Becky, I had to suffer through Jesse Metcalfe's bad acting on the soap opera "Passions". Basically, he was a whiny pretty boy who took his shirt off basically when he had the excuse to. That's actually the same thing going on w/ his character on DH.

Susan's new bf is Ian. He seems to be somewhat interesting so far, but he also sounds like he needs more experience w/ women. I actually find Mike to be overrated. It seems that he's considered the "hot" guy of the show, but I don't find anything attractive about him.

Becky, I agree about Ian or Owen or whoever he is - whiny & annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edie is evil and must die. I can't believe (actually, I can) that she'd manipulate Mike like that. Kudos to Susan for ditching Ian.

Lynette's storyline is getting ever-duller.

Carlos and Gabby's is picking up quite nicely. Honestly, I still think they'll end up back together.

Three cheers for Andrew being so nice to his mom and treating her like a person. Danielle's affair with her teacher was visible from space. The scene at the history fair was too transparent NOT to see it coming.

Becky, I agree that it was easily predictable that Danielle was having an affair w/ her history teacher. As far as Marcia Cross's pregnancy being written into the show, the latest news I've heard is that it won't be. Eva Longoria originally told the press that it would, but news has recently leaked that it wouldn't b/c it would complicate the storyline. I can't elaborate on that more b/c I don't want to put spoilers on here.

I think we've been spoiled this season by having as many consecutive episodes as we've had so far. That's gonna be changing fairly soon. I was looking on the website where I read my spoilers & although there will be 2 more episodes remaining for Nov., there will be only 1 episode for Dec.
