I'm so glad that Rami got picked to go to Fashion Week. Chris may be a nice guy, but his decision to use human hair in some his pieces showed a lack of taste. I would've liked that both designers would've had a bit more color in their pieces. I don't think the challenge was to design a funeral collection. I will be rooting for Rami & Jillian next wk. in the finale. Also, small spoiler: Both Sweet P & Chris got to show in the Project Runway tent. However, they weren't scored. They were there to be decoys for the media.

I'm also glad Rami got chosen over Chris though, honestly, I didn't think Chris would ever make it this far. I think, from what I saw, I like Jillian's stuff the best. I can't wait for next week!

I have to say I was disappointed by last night's finale. This is the 2nd yr. in a row that my least favorite designer has ended up winning the competition. I thought Christian's collection looked horrid, esp. the pieces w/ the feather dress & the 2 tone ruffle dress. I liked Jillian's collection, but I can see how the judges said it was a little bit disjointed. Rami's was my favorite. The evening gowns & the weaving techniques were gorgeous. And I liked his use of teal & red even though the judges didn't care for it.

I just read an article about Project Runway moving to Lifetime Television for its sixth season. NBC/ Bravo are fighting this. I thought I'd post it since there are a few PR fans here.

I read that too. I think they're jumping the shark by doing that. Lifetime has the stigma of bad made for TV movies w/ C-list actors. Plus this could possibily alienate their male audience. I noticed something weird in how they wrote things & I'm a little bit confused. At the beginning of the article, it says "Project Runway will move to Lifetime for its sixth season beginning in November as part of a five-year deal." But then towards the end it mentions, "Project Runway just completed its fourth cycle, and NBC said in the suit that it is in production for the fifth season on Bravo." So either they meant they'll start it on Lifetime for the upcoming 5th season or they'll wait till next Nov. for the 6th season. Somehow I'm thinking it's the former.

I believe the 5th season, which begins in june, will be on bravo, megan and then it'll be on lifetime starting in the fall.

i forgot to add --
i'm also a bit upset that it's moving to lifetime. i don't think i've ever seen anything on lifetime. i'd probably be happier if it were on WE or Oxygen but lifetime just seems -- odd.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought there was going to be only one more season this yr., not 2. I guess they're going to air pretty much back to back then. Something tells me Bravo is going to need to get to work on new seasons of Top Chef or find a new reality hit to fill in the gaps on Wed. nights.

I've been watching the first couple of episodes so far & here are my thoughts. I'm still trying to learn who the designers are, so I apologize in advance if I misspell any of their names.
Right now, the designers I'm liking are Kenley & Leann. I absolutely love Kenley's hair & makeup; she looks like a 40's pin-up.
The designers that are already annoying me are Stella & Blayne. I don't know which is worse: Stella's haggard face & defeatist attitude or Blayne's fake tanned self & "it's all about me" attitude.
As far as this week's challenge, I thought the dress they chose as the winner actually looked hideous. I'm surprised that didn't send Kanto (sp.?) home; her model looked like she was wearing a wrinkled vegetable instead of a cocktail dress.
