I've heard many times of this happening, I also heard that they like to ruin etailers businesses as well, when they are having bad days..... If that's the case why would anyone want their customers coming from MUA? If they just bash etailers there when they feel like it>?

i am a member, but i dont frequent the board.
however, im sure that there are others who do and know of that. i personally wouldnt bash an etailer, but i think people can make some constructive criticism when it comes to etailers, i think everyone is going to have an opinion no matter what good, bad or indifferent however, i think its in the way that it is said, or read for that matter. mua from what i understand, has a large number of members, quite different from here, i mean we have a good sized group, but were more close knit here and for the most part agree with one another and get along. but just like any other board your gonna have all kinds, but some reason some of these folks have decided to be that way. i think of the etailers are aware of this, they can do two things, take their "bashing" with a grain of salt and chuck it up to people who will do this for attention, cause everyone does it, what ever reason, or they can take it personally and really let it get to them. |

I agree w/ MAnne. Sometimes there is criticism to be made against etailers, but it needs to be done in a constructive manner. I tend to avoid people on MUA who constantly like to engage in etailer bashing & general drama causing.
As for why MUAers like to get others kicked off the board, there are some people who deserve to get deleted from MUA, like swaplifters & trolls. As far as our board, I think we make an emphasis that we should treat others respectfully. We've had some trolls & swaplifters migrate from MUA to this board. But they can't "play nice" for long and start doing things that are disrespectful to others. Troublemakers aren't tolerated here, so they get |

I tried to get involved in the whole MUA community, but the overall maturity level was that of an undisciplined 6th grade class. Some of the women there are awesome, but there are too many catty people with nothing better to do. A lot of the women are stay-at-home moms with kids who are in school and husbands who are at work all day, so they really don't have anything better to do. I DON'T mean that as an insult, that's just what I speculate.
I've seen the people on MUA say awful things about e-tailers. I don't think I should say names, but there was one e-tailer that just got her own website. She sent samples of her products in her swaps and everything. I made an order from her, and no, her stuff was not perfect. The thing that drove me most nuts was that the body spray bottles were flimsy. I suggested that she use bottles with harder plastic. I saw other people making posts, however, that basically talked about her like she was a talentless waste of flesh and a sad excuse for a human being. I'm not kidding, some of the posts about her and her business made me want to cry because they were so bad. I couldn't believe that adult women, most of whom are mothers, would talk like that about other people. It has happened a lot, though. It still happens regularly. I used to use MUA regularly, but gradually, I realized what a cesspool it could be. Now, I only swap with regulars from this board. One regular poster on MUA got really upset with me when I said that her swapping skills and etiquette were lackluster (I'll spare you the story... I've shared it on here before), and she tried her best to get me involved in drama. She went as far as to make posts about me on the boards there and called me names. I didn't even bother to reply to any of the threads. I blocked her and quit posting on the boards because I'm better than a dramatic 7th grader and I don't have time to even worry about things like that. Then I had someone from MUA try to swaplit me. Ugh, the "excitement" never stops. If you think MUA is bad, then try SwapTawk. The women there are so much worse that I don't think I should even go into detail. I don't want to touch that place with a 40-foot pole. The sad thing is that I've seen a few of the dramatic posters from MUA and SwapTawk on here lately. I instantly blocked those people. I don't want to read their posts. I choose to avoid the drama. As Megan said, anyone starting any trouble here is instantly given the boot. That is why I absolutely LOVE this forum!! ********** *ATTENTION ALL NEW SWAPPERS: Check the link below often. Help us prevent swaplifting!* http://swaplifters.watson-wilson.ca/ |
