I didn't see the show, but I read about Carly's departure the next day.

I think Brooke should have been voted off. It was the second time that she had stopped and restarted her song.

I am probably the only one, but I don't really like David A. His voice is starting to annoy me.
Jason can go too.

Brooke is so incredibly annoying to me. And all Jason's songs sound the same. I'm ready for them to go!!

Fryl, you arent the only one. David A. has been annoying me for a few weeks now.

I also agree about Brooke and Jason, they sound the same every week. They are quite boring anymore.

If David Cook leaves, I could care less who wins then. I probably wouldnt watch it until the finale then.

I finally remembered to tune into AI tonight, and on time.
Paula really is crazy.
I was wondering what the heck she was talking about when she mentioned the second song, when they had only performed once.

Paula IS crazy!!! She acts like she is drunk half the time. I had to laugh at her talking about the 2nd song too. I was almost embarassed for her. She really had no clue.

All I have to say is after Jasons performances this evening, he had better be leaving.

I was busy tonight so I wasn't able to watch all of AI, but I did catch Jason's performances.
He was terrible!!!

So what did everyone think of the results tonight??

I thought the right person won, however I was afraid he wouldn't.

Overall, I didn't find this season of AI as exciting as past ones. Did anyone else feel that way?

i wasnt too crazy about idol this year.
however i think as the process goes along of elimination, some of the contestants seem to get a little better.i think David Cook will
have a more daughtry following, for lack of a better term.
the other David, i think is a little young, however im sure he will put out a cd, like the others.
it doesnt seem like the winners of past shows or runners up have a really lengthy career.
Taylor Hicks has been lost under the radar.
as well as Fantasia.
i think it doesnt hurt to have a second job, imho.

I am so happy that David Cook won!!
I was nervous for him too, because you just never know how the voting goes. I think he was the best contestant, and deserved to win.

I enjoyed this season. It wasn't as good as some other seasons, but it was good nonetheless, to me anyway.

Well some idol winners have done quite well for themselves: Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Fantasia have all done a lot since AI. Fantasia's CD did quite good and she just finished her stint in The Color Purple and is now back to making music. Daughtery is doing well IMO. His album was surprisingly nice and I enjoyed it. I still hear these 4 Idols almost everyday on the radio.

I agree, it seems like AI winners have a solid career after AI. It's cool how they always come beck to sing on the show. Hopefully David Cook will get big too. He has a lot going for him. Did you hear Simon's apology to David Cook before the winner was announced?

I thought that was very gracious of Simon to apologize about the remarks he made. Lucky he did too or he would have looked like a complete idiot! I love to see past idols come back.

I watched the finale today. I cant believe I didnt hear who won before I got a chance to watch it.

I was very happy that David Cook won, I think he was the best choice by far. He was one of my favorites from the beginning.

I thought the season was pretty good this year. I actually thought the finale was good too.
