I thought the guys last night all did pretty good, with the exception of 1 or 2. I cant remember some names quite yet.I think the rocker girl (Amanda) will probably go. I think she only has one style of song she can sing. The judges didnt seem too impressed with many of the girls tonite.

That's good to hear that the girl that performed Carly Simon's song did well.

I agree with you on Amanda. I don't think her voice is very versatile. I think she should at least try a song out of her comfort zone, to show she can do something else. Hopefully for her, she'll have the chance to do so.

I thought pretty much all of the guys were really good this week. I think Luke and Danny may go tonite.
I didnt like Amandas performance, but the judges just loved it.
I still think she needs to go, all of her songs sound the same.

I didn't think the girls were as impressive as the guys.
I liked Amanda's performance, but this is the first time I've really watched her perform in the finals. I definitely agree with you though, she doesn't seem very versatile.

I thought American Idol was good this week. I did agree with who went home, but I also thought Kristy Lee was really bad.

My favorite girls are Carly Smithson and Brooke White. My favorite guys are David Cook, Michael Johns, and David Archuleta. In fact I think all of the guys are really good this year.

I did see Sanjaya in the audience last night. He looked quite different.

I was really shocked at Michael Johns getting booted tonite. I really liked him alot. I actually thought him and David Cook would or could have been the final 2. I am sure he will do fine anyways, I hope David Cook wins now.

I am surprised as well. I recorded the show but haven't even watched it yet. I think sometimes people don't vote and they think their favorite wwill get lots of votes anyway. You'd think they realize by now that if everyone thinks that way, nobody's voting!

I also think the way Ryan got rid of him was kinda crummy. Ryan gave him some false hope by saying last year during Idol Gives Back week, no one got sent home. After a pause, but this year thats not the case. I actually thought he was safe too.

No Gizmo, you didn't ruin anything! I read the thread just to find out who got booted off since I hadn't had time to watch the show. If I don't want to know, I skip the thread. I'm still going to watch it though. I just watched the performances tonight. It does sound like a crummy way to give him the boot.

I thought David Cook was really good tonite!!! I so hope he wins, he is the best in my opinion by far. I read his brother has cancer and he was in the audience tonite.

I actually decided to see AI tonight b/c I heard they were doing Mariah songs. I liked Syesha's performance; it was spot on. However, I will disagree about David Cook. I thought he was mumbling his way through the song.

I've read some things about AI on MUA & I get the impression that a lot of the ladies on there don't like Carly. Does anyone on here have any insight as to why that's the case?

I have no idea as to why some may not like Carly.
I like her, she's still my favourite of the girls but she needs to get it together a little better.

I also think David Cook deserves to win, Gizmo.
But if he doesn't he'll do very well on his own. I think Chris Daughtry was better off not winning too.

I was glad to see Elliot Yamin and sorry to hear that his mother passed away a few days ago. He's a real trooper though, you could tell that she was his rock.

After Tuesday nights performances, I thought Brooke or Jason would leave. Now I dont really care who leaves, as long as it isnt David Cook.
