Since it seems that all of the swaplifters have come to this board from MUA, I think the MUA swaplifters list would be a valuable resource.

everyone should be aware that scented_chick is the former member scent_diva who was very abusive to members here in the past. she is also perfume911 formerly chocolatta at makeupalley. she posted these same descriptive reviews almost word for word at makeupalley yesterday. http://www.makeupalley.com/m_77118502 avoid her like the plague.

That's why I don't trust doing swaps at all.

Have any of you ever swapped with Giselleray on MUA? I am currently and have still not received my stuff. I sent my stuff 5/12 and she said she received it. She messaged me 5/22 and said she sent my stuff, but forgot to put the zip code on it, so it was returned to her, and she says she resent it. She has a couple negative/neutral tokens, but mostly because she lost a loved one, so I was understanding of this, and she has a large number of positive tokens. However, she is on the swaplifter website, so now I am worried.

I could just be overreacting, but I wanted to know if any of you have ever swapped with her. Her username is Giselleray, name is Linda Clark from Statesville NC.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I did some looking through this woman's negative & neutral tokens. There's something that mentions a loss of a relative in Dec. & then again in May. It's possible she could've had 2 relatives die in 6 months, but a lot of swaplifters use family tragedy to get themselves out of swapping responsibilities. What I would do in this situation would be to mail her to ask for a DC #. If she sent out the package when she said she did, it should be there sometime this wk. I say if the package isn't there by this time next wk., it's time to file mail fraud & internet fraud charges. Keep us updated on what happens.

I really really hope I'm worrying for nothing.

I've never been swaplifted before, so that's why I'm very paranoid.

I sent her a message earlier today asking for a DC# and what date it was sent exactly, and hopefully a scanned in receipt of when it was sent.

She just logged into MUA at about 9:30pm, so I know she got it, but I still have not heard back yet.

I was excited for this swap too because it was for the Britney Spears Curious In Control perfume, which I have been wanting to try.

You probably could have picked up a 'tester' of this fragrance from Amazon.com or perhaps tried eBay first.

Oh no, Meg! I hope you get your swap package soon. It's never a good sign when someone is on the swaplifter's page.

She may truly have sent your package though, and because there was a holiday in between it's taking longer to get to you.

Yes, Meg keep hope alive! I sent out three boxes the week before the holiday and they still haven't arrived at their destination!! Hopefully it's just held up somewhere. Also it depends on whether she mailed it priority or parcel post. Parcel post can take up to 10 business days, I believe.

Ok so I need some advice from everyone.

When do you message someone on MUA that has not responded to your first message? As I said before, I asked her yesterday for the DC# and all, but I still have not heard back. I know it's only been a day, but I know she has logged in many times between me sending the message and now.

I was just wondering what your opinions are on this, or maybe if there is a general rule of thumb that I just do not know about with regards to how often and when to message the person. So sorry to bother everyone about this, but I'm going crazy!

Meg try and hang in there. I know how horrible it is to feel like you were taken advantage of, and ripped off. I still truly hope that isnt the case.

I am not sure if there is a general rule on how long you should give her in between contacting her. I do know Megan had a horrible situation several months back. If I can remember correctly Megan gave her a week to contact her back before she sent another one. Again I am not exactly sure what the general rule is. I just think it absolutley sucks that anyone has to worry about swaplifters. I do know if it was me I would be going crazy too.

Meg, in your case, I'd probably PM in another couple of days if the package hasn't shown up or you still haven't had a response.

It really doesn't help with the anxiety when the person doesn't even respond. That makes you feel like they really are trying to pull a fast one!

I registered myself on SwapTawk and got approved. I looked Giselleray up on it and there are a few threads about her. They mostly talk about my situation, which is slow shipping and poor communication. It sounds like most people do eventually get their items, but it just takes her forever and she does not always message back. I suppose this is good to hear, but she has definitely caused some other people some headaches.

I still have not heard anything from her, and I am waiting for the mail to arrive today.

I am thankful for the SwapTawk forum, and wish I had known about it before, but then again, I only have 21 tokens, so only recently were they able to accept me anyway.

Phew, what a relief. I'm kind of mad that she didn't send until 5/28 without telling me, but I guess I'm just happy I actually received it.

What a nightmare! I'm going to definitely be soo much more careful from now on.

As for In Control Curious, it's REALLY good! It kind of reminds me of BBW Fresh Vanilla in a way. This one is the 1.7 oz size with the regular spritzer, not the atomizer, which I guess is a good thing because I've heard horror stories with those that they break or don't work.
