I have to warn everyone on this board not to swap or otherwise interact w/ Lahoorah (MUA IDs: Lahoorah & Lahoorah2). She swaplifted me & is someone I'd consider to be untrustworthy & duplicitous.

On 1/16, she made a request in the Semi-Annual Sale ISO thread that she was looking for a Frozen Daiquiri or Tropical Colada splash. I had a Frozen Daiquiri splash on my swap list so I PM'd her that I was willing to swap with her. She contacted me on 1/17 & let me know that she had a Raspberry Taffyta 3-in-1 that I might be interested in. I let her know that was OK & I sent her package out on 1/18. She initially mentioned that she would be sending my package out on 1/18, but I never heard anything from her on an exact date when she sent it out. I then sent her a PM on 1/26 asking her if she had received everything safely & asking about the status of my package since I had not received it. After that PM failed to elicit a response, I issued this FAO (for the attn. of) thread on 2/4 to try to get her attention. I bumped up the FAO thread on 2/11 & sent her a final PM on 2/12. In my final PM, I told her that I still had not received my swap package although she had said it would be going out several weeks earlier & that my delivery confirmation records showed that her package was delivered on 1/22. I told her that she had until the end of 2/18 to resolve the situation in a satisfactory matter or otherwise I'd issue a swaplifting warning against her. I considered a satisfactory resolution to be status info & delivery of my package or a reimbursement of $7.58 (the cost I paid for the splash + shipping). I still have not received a swap package nor reimbursement, so I now consider myself to be swaplifted. I never got a response to any of my PMs once I sent out my end. She's logged onto MUA several times since I started asking about my package, with her most recent login being 2/15. She's logged on here a few times too but has "convieniently" been keeping quiet.

I had sent my package out just shortly before we knew that Frozen Daiquiri splashes would be reissued, so she received a 2006 edition of the Frozen Daiquiri splash.

What angers me the most about this is that she's a BBW employee. She should know better than to do crap like this, and yet she did. Not only did she swaplift, she betrayed my trust, preyed on my kindness, & abused her position as a BBW SA.

I will be reporting this incident to all moderators and authorities deemed necessary. For starters, I reccomend that she be banned from this board. Since her info isn't on the MUA swaplifters list, I would advise people to be cautious of new people from Chandler, AZ or the Phoenix metro area who want to swap.

Laura, if you're reading this, which you probably are since you're a pathetic swaplifter & all pathetic swaplifters have to read what's being said about them, I really hope stealing that splash was worth it to you. I hope karma bites you in the rear end. Just know that this is the beginning of the action I'm taking against you. Like I said, I will be reporting you to all moderators and authorities deemed necessary.

Megan, I'm sorry this is happening to you. It's highly unlikely she is up to any good if she can't even be bothered to write you a message back with an explanation.
I'd post this on SwapTawk, too.

Megan, I am so sorry to hear Lahoorah ripped you off Thanks for posting the info. I truly believe in karma, and it will come back to her. I know that doesnt get your $ or your splash back, but it will come back to bite her!!!

Oh and trust me, I will be doing everything in my power to make sure karma bites her in the butt.

Tracey, I remember you. And I got your MUA mail about Swap Tawk. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get approved since it says something about having to have tokens as recently as 2 months ago. Since I've been doing my swapping on here exclusively for awhile, I don't have any recent swap tokens.

I have filed mail fraud & internet fraud complaints against her. And I intend to e-mail the admin of the MUA swaplifters list to see if I can get her added on there. It just is a PITA that I have to deal w/ this since I'm going out of town this weekend & should be focusing on packing & cleaning, but have to deal w/ all of this too.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will be the last time we'll encounter a problem person. That seems to be the nature of internet forums; there's always a few troublemakers. But we're lucky that we can have open discussions about swaplifters & have had much fewer run-ins w/ problem people than other forums have had. I have a suggestion that we have a swaplifters dossier that we can pin at the the top of the Swap Room. Because I know there will be newbies who weren't around to hear about the stories of Bubblezzz & her multiple personalities, Lahoorah, or other problem people and they need to know that info. What does everyone think?

unfortuantely, the owner of the swaplifters list (Lisa) will only adds names to the list if there are multiple people reporting her.

I know how frustrating it is to deal with swaplifters (I deal with them every day on SwapTawk).

If any of you ever have a question about a swapper, just let me know and I will see if I can help (just send me an email here or on MUA (Tracey1025). I have a 10 page list of problem swappers or swaplifters...and sadly it grows every day.

Megan, here is a thought....since you have her address and you could easily figure out what BBW flagship she works for....maybe you could report to them that she is a thief They may be interested to know that.

A special 'sticky' should definitely be placed on the top of the swapper's column to expose these 'low life' people.

What really burns me is that the person in question is a BBW employee and the item was not rare. It's a matter of principle.

In the past if I had something laying around the house that one of the board members was looking for, I just boxed it up and sent it off for free.

It creates good karma. After all, this is THE best board on the internet and like family.

Here's to getting these issues resolved so our community cannot be violated further.

Oh Megan, it really pisses me off to hear about what's happened to you!! You did such a good deed, and how dare she take advantage of you. I'm just glad that it was an item you can replace, not something rare or vintage, or expensive! I understand it is definitely the principle of the matter and you did not deserve this to happen to you.

She will definitely get what's coming to her! She picked the wrong board and the wrong person to mess with! I'm glad you are proactive in punishing her any way you can! If you let it go, then she will probably do it again, and again. She could easily get back on the board with a new name. That is why I am definitely in favor of a sticky so that we don't forget these names when considering future interactions. I don't know if we can post addresses, but we should definitely be able to post the city and state of the perpetrator along with the person who was swaplifted. That way, if you are suspicious, you can PM that person and possibly check out the address.

We have to do something to protect ourselves. This is a wonderful board filled with beautiful people. Of course, there are always thieves around trying to take advantage of someone's generousity.

Megan, I think its great what you are doing I know timing wise could be alot better for you, since you will be leaving soon. Atleast you are taking a stand on this situation. I just think it is absolutely ridiculous that you have to deal with this at all. I agree with Lovey, the whole ordeal is crappy hopefully this stops her (but I doubt it) I am hoping everything you are doing makes you feel a little better

I also think a special sticky would be an excellent idea.

Count me in on wanting the sticky topic as well! I don't really swap much, but I do host fraffles every once in a while. I don't want to be giving away any goodies to known scammers!

Good point, Ohno. I also don't like the idea of sending my stuff to people who are scammers! There is a possible swaplifter that signed up for the last held fraffle (MAnne's). Tracey alerted me to it. Thanks Tracey.
Always do a search on MUA, sometimes people will have the same username.
